The final Snarkdown!

I cleaned out a spot in the garage so the wifey could pull her car in last night. of coarse, she didnt. So my good deed was rewarded with more work in the form of scrapping ice off of her windshield this morning. I however, took care of that chore with the M-18 I threw in my Jeep the other day for just such a occasion. that worked pretty damn good too!
Cool - Yet another task the M18 dominates at. It took forever to clean the truck off with the hornet.

Poor quality, sorry. I'll post another one after I've taken her out this weekend :)
Congrats! We're going to hold you to it, btw...

So a kid made a status on facebook last night saying "who wants to help me make my hitlist?"

Now today he got arrested and sent to a loony bin, pretty crazy...

Sucks man. Sounds like a cry for help.I'm glad someone reported him in case he was actually planning to hurt someone. I hope he gets the help he needs.

Because he told one of my friends that he wanted to shoot as many people as he could.
See, those two concepts aren't mutually exclusive, and actually are counter-productive. If you want to shoot as many people as possible having a hit list will only be a hindrance since you would be targeting specific people. So I'd be more worried about the guy NOT making the hit list.

I also wouldn't necessarily recommend him to go to the psych ward either though. Although following the geldifying of America, it does seem to "fit." "If someone wants to shoot as many people as he could he MUST be psychotic" it couldn't POSSIBLY be that he is just pissed off, and venting.

Todd, sorry to hear about your day being crap. Although the I love the comment of your dedication to halfassery.

This hit the spot.... I passed on the Goose Island Bourbon County for this and a 6 pack of Killians for the same monies. The goose island is next on the list, but I'm still craving some BBC Bourbon Barrel Stout AND it just so happens that I'm making a trip to the Louisville area tomorrow, so I foresee picking up a pack or two.

I dunno, when I get pissed off, I don't post murder threats on a publicly visible internet forum or other social media. Mental illness is a very real problem in this country, and much of the recent shootings can be traced back to poor mental healthcare. Even if he doesn't actually have a mental illness, he's either selfish enough or stupid enough to need a SERIOUS wakeup call as to what's appropriate.

That's a terrible idea.

I'm certainly happy that no one got hurt, but I also hope that a fit of publicly-stated angst doesn't ruin a young person's life. That kinda stuff has a tendency to stay on a person's permanent record... he's basically screwed if he ever wants to get into a great college or high-end military program or, y'know, get a job that involves anything other than hot grease and a drive-thru window.

I know we can't take that sort of threat lightly, but I often wonder... if everybody on the planet knew every little thought that fluttered through my head when I was a teen... Great Googly Moogly, I'd still be in prison.

That was an over-generality I'm sorry CF. I know that in this area in short and long term mental care facilities are more over run with dual diagnosis and addiction care more than actual mental illness health care.

Someone go ahead and tell me again why little kids and teens "need" cell phones and I-pads or whatever they're called. I double-dog dare ya.

So that their overprotective parents can get ahold of them at any time of day or night. That is the same reasons they need X boxes and play stations so they stay inside where it is safe and their parents can keep an eye on them instead of letting them play outside

With all this societal metrology going on around here, I suppose I have nothing clever or insightful to offer other than, my wife really loves my lever action.

WoD:eek:

what I find humorous is the people here debating parental tactics that don't have kids!

SO they wont be technologically impotent.... from what i gathered on the last conversation anyway.

LMAO :D

Obviously they always know best too

Hell I hate when anyone tells me how to parent my kids.... BUT...I really cant stand it when they dont have any kids of their own.

I don't find it funny at all. I have a younger, childless sister who (since she has done some nannying) is always telling me that she knows what it's like to be a parent, and dispenses lots of unsolicited advice to that effect. Mostly, because I have not yet learned to let these sorts of things go, it just makes my tongue bleed. What I have learned is that every parental situation is different, and what works for me probably won't work for someone else. Hell, what works for me hardly ever works for my wife, for that matter. I'm done now.
Let's hear a little more SNARK, people! Stop winding me up, fer cryin' out loud.

I fully admit I am not and would not be a good parent. I wasn't attempting to comment on being a parent, but more on how society has adjusted with technology.

Is there any photo editor out there that can clean up horribly grainy/dull pixilated old photographs of exgirlfriends taken in a dimly lit room on an ancient flip phone from when they 1st started packing cameras on them??

Especially if there's an android app, that would be great.
