Seems to have worked well for you. I would rather just keep you to ourselves though.

Well, It did work out well for me and it was a great overall experience. But heres the thing. It was absolute Hell on my nerves. From January (whenI decided to go) all the way to driving home from the show I was so stressed I wasnt the funniest person to be around. I admit that I probably overthink a lot of things but I love this craft so much, and the first time stepping up with the big boys and being among the worlds best is enought to make a person like me want to crawl in a corner and die. Not that I ever questioned the quality of my own work, but to be put under a microscope by all the people that you have looked up to your whole life is very nerve racking. Fortunately I was a success, just to be mentioned in the same sentence with some of the people there was huge to me, but to leave with there respect and to be called friend was life changing for me. Outside of that, I litterally had to sell knives to get home. Most of you know my story about my job sh!ttin on me so money wasnt something I had a lot of after table rent, food, and trasportation. I was told first time attendees usually dont do well, so for me to go there having to make gas money, and try to somewhat entertain the people that went with me was a huge gamble and always kept me from relaxing and just trying to enjoy myself.
However, now that I do have one under my belt, I think I could probably enjoy another one since I know what to expect. I think I could make my table more enticing. So, I really dont know.

Well I think that to build on the success of last year you should go this year as well. Otherwise those guys will be like where is that Theodore guy at?

.....Genesee. I asked my newly acquired buddy about it, and his response was, "Oh man, If you ever take one thing I say as far as advice, let it be known that if this place was giving you $14 bucks to take it, It still wouldnt be worth it. That is the nastiest sh!t that will ever pass over a set of lips period. and I dont care who you are". I took that pretty seriously and didnt buy any.........Is it really that bad?
Depends on who you ask....I'd say no, it's not that bad but then again, that was "local" for me when I was of drinking age at 18. Honestly, I didn't develop a taste for beer until I was at college, and I drank a lot of Labatt's Blue (and LOTS of other cheap beer) because we were so close to Canada. We also went to the Brewer's Retail in Cornwall once a month to get some GREAT beer that was unavailable stateside; duty-free if you paid the first time and went back within 30 days. As far as Genesee goes, I'll give you this:
Genesee Cream Ale has won Gold medals in 1990 & 1991, Silver medals in 1987, 1988, 1993, 1994 & 2005, and Bronze in 1995, 2002, & 2004 at the Great American Beer Festival.
I'm sure that Genny Cream doesn't appeal to everyone, but for a fairly high alcohol content mass produced beer (5.2%), it goes down easy in the summer heat.
Genesee is also responsible for a lot of other beer, J.W. Dundee Honey Brown, 12 Horse Ale and others (brewed as the "High Falls Brewery" for a while)and they actually used to brew a serviceable bock beer (in cans!) every spring. They have been brewing beer there for nearly 200 years, so in my opinion, you missed an opportunity to try something different for pretty cheap. I would NOT, however, recommend their regular beers.
