THE FIND OF THE YEAR !! What was your best blade purchase of 2014?

It may be 2015 but I picked up an original Microtech Tachyon for a real good price, in fact it's too good to disclose. The proof is in the pudding.

Best deal? ZT0561 BNIB for $135.

2014 saw a lot of knives come and go. Only knife I regret selling was a Strider SnG.

Best purchase all year--Spyderco Manix 2 Foliage Green CTS-XHP.

Im coming home tonight to a mint tachyon 2 I got for a steal. Such a good deal, I already had two, and still couldn't say no!
Serrated, beast blasted, Stonewashed. New in box. :D

Unless I get home and find its a box with a rock in it.

Kershaw Ruby.

Simply the finest folder I've bought in years, and I bought another CRK and Hinderer this year. Really no comparison. They feel like old designs against the Ruby.

Kershaw really got this one right. I mean they got everything right. ZT should learn from this model.

Too bad more people couldn't get one.

That would be the pits if you got a box of rocks.... I Love Balisongs in general and even though I make knives now (I sold most of my collection to fund the tooling) I still collect balisongs because the speak to me in a special way. I pick up a BM42 for $150 at the local pawn shop, that was at the end of 2013.

Good news! No rock!

It was a MINT , Tach 2.

My last one was supposed to be lnib, but had a few tiny snail trails. Not this bad girl. Perfect minty freshness.

42 for $150! Holy cow. I did hear pawn shops were good for not knowing the 42 real value. Well value to us.

Honestly, there's no reason to buy anything else.

But this was my best score in a very long time.

Yea when I got there he looked it up and said "damn" exact words. I'm glad your rocks turned into a beautiful Tachyon 2!

Mora Bushcraft Black. I really love this knife. Not to mention the performance it gives for $40 is incredible.

Ok, fixed blade Jack O'Neil small Tanto : it was an unexpected acquisition, but just as delightful as his big brother Tanto also crafted by Mr. O'Neil.

Typhoon Tanto flipper By Brian Nadaeu he captured best tactical knife and best new maker at the same show .
i saw it and thought the thing was blue when i bought it looking at the pictures, even though it was actually grey in reality.

I still thought it was just a very aesthetically pleasing knife in person. The ergo's also made it a winner imho.
Yet, the blade finish & design were just so impressive i loved it when i saw it in person. The pictures don't do that knife justice imho.. Since i was looking for a tanto flipper, since tanto's are my favorite blade shape i was quite pleased .

Well I got married this past October so felt the need to get one last purchase under the belt as a single man so I picked up my first Busse! A TGLB in tanker grey and tan canvas!

My favorite folder purchase was my ZT0562!
