I just posted this 2007 model 23 under Stag Saturday but it certainly belongs here too, even though it does have an interesting flaw. Can you spot it?

I like GEC knives and have several of them. They make a very nice folder.

MY thoughts:
As thew moved forward being a great user that you could be proud to own to each release being an instant collectible they moved out of the reach of the average buyer / user.
They are now snapped up so quickly by the flippers that it's just plain luck if you can get one for the list price.
Older ones that come up for sale are high dollar.
Bone jigging has been inconsistent and varies from very good to very MEH. I wish they would quit experimenting with different styles and make one of their good patterns their signature style.
They have had some really great patterns but once they are sold it seems they never go back and make another batch. Instead they just keep bringing out either new patterns or new varients on an older one. The 09 Esquire: a great user but never made again, Same with the 06 Pemberton single blade and jigged bone ( If they ever do another run I hope they do a better job of jigging the bone so it doesn't look like shallow flying birds.)

Oh I forgot to mention that the "-" after the X is also missing, except for a tiny speck.

#23 It's clearly a forgery!!! GEC never make mistakes Exceptional Stag and so good it's not had its butt chopped off and an end cap put there, big knife with big antler to go with it, superb

Here is a #73 from 2011 that Jean-Marc has allowed me to caretake for a while!! It has the flush and square joint that we love, with a nice dark Walnut jigged bone set of handles!!!
The Natural Seed Komboloi are also from J-M!!!

I’ve thinned my GEC collection a good bit lately and only have one left that fits the theme here, but it’s a stunner if I do say so myself. 2007 shielded #23 in burnt stag. One of 118 I believe.
