The Flea Market Mung Absolution Thread

Schmittie is selling a great looking Recluse for a BARGAIN price. Someone needs to jump on that. If I didn't have two other Recluses I would be all over that one.

Mung of the highest order dragging on in the fleamarket. More entertaining than the GBU[emoji12]

Hahaha... not exactly what i was having in my mind. That is tomorrow at 3pm

Nice one T!

I can't believe I actually held my tounge through through all of that!

I admit, I should've held it in the first place but low balling people here is just RUDE to me! If one isn't willing to pay the price for admission, then they need to go elsewhere...

I disagree though my friend. The worst a seller can say is "no". I agree it could be better off in PM, but haggling is just part of some people's culture. In fact, Kymedic might have turned around and offered a mid-line deal and the buyer might have taken it. But right now the buyer feels like we are against him so not only is there no deal, but there is sort of an after effect of negativity that hurts the sense of community here. So at the end of the day, while I agree the offer was low, it is Kymedic's place to reject it or continue on. What is a forum to me and you is someone elses livelihood. No hard feelings though either way!

+1 ... I'm a 'horse trader' at heart and love to wheel and deal...low ball offers are part of that and warranted in some cases. I do agree that they should be made behind the scenes but that's a somewhat 'obscure' rule/expectation here... not necessarily obvious to someone new to the community. I lurked on this thread long enough to get the feel for a 'normal' deal before I ever posted. That said, if I hadn't done that and got the response that Kevy got on my first post, I'd have taken my interests elsewhere. I commend him for sticking up for himself. Having met a bunch of you folks through knife deals in the fleamarket, I've come to really like this group. I just hate seeing folks get berated for an honest mistake...instead, point them in the right direction in a friendly manner and move on. The fleamarket's got some bad juju going... hope it smooths out soon.

T,

Of course there's no hard feelings bro. I have no problem with bargaining but do have a problem with offering someone something so low that it's almost insulting. That's just my opinion. I personally have never even tried that here. I pay what the seller asks out of respect but once again, that's just me...

Glad I could help :) I love a bargain but there's a place for it and research is a wonderful thing! :)
