The Flea Market Mung Absolution Thread

I'm trying to get everything finalized to move west and it starts raining Keppy's in the flea market.

I always wanted a sapphire FB and have been dying to try a carver. It's killin me Mr Bubba's carvers have been sitting there for so long!

A shade tree Scandi carver just sitting there. Times have changed. I have been tempted myself.

Ok, here comes my mung. We have talked about it before, but please give us a slight break on the over the top amount of HUGE pictures. Thanks.

I find the large pics to be most annoying when they're part of a quoted reply. If we can edit out the pics, or at least most of them, when replying, the large pics wouldn't be nearly such a problem.

I agree with this method as well.

Seems I am obviously adressed by this statement. Please share with me why it is a problem. I agree that when quoting you should edit the pics out. In a sales thread though i personally prefer more pics from all angles rather than requesting them via PM. But thats me... was not aware that this was a no-no til now.
Thanks for sharing the common rule and reasons why...
BTW: any chance to post smaller pictures? I am just paste picture hosting links...

Don't take it personally. It wasn't directed towards anyone in specific. Please refer to post #509 and forward in this thread if you'd like some explanation.

Simon, I make the pics smaller when I'm exporting them from whatever program I'm using. I do this before I upload them to Fotki. That way the link is too smaller pics. I export them to a folder on my desktop at a max width of 1,000px. I'm not sure of how you upload pics so I hope this helps a little. :D
To be honest, the larger pictures only bother me if I'm in a hotel on a slow connection or if my phone is running slow. At home I don't mind them at all. However, I do have a pet peeve about bumping 2 day old posts in the Flea Market. I try and wait the 2 weeks that is recommended by Blade Forums but sometimes that can result in my post being buried 10 pages back. It can be a bit irksome at times.

No worries...just trying to understand....read through it and get it if people dont have high speed connections...was before my time in BF though so i can at least say i was not aware :D....i am guilty as charged with high res pics but kind of assumed they are downsized automatically. So thought it was rather about quantity of pics rather than resolution. My bad...

Thanks..i am a lazy guy on pictures but seems i need to find a way. I upload through photobucket and i guess i can get a app on my apple stuff to resize or directly resize on my camera prior uploading. I fully agree with you on bumping stuff too early...not fair to others. I honor this rule as it makes total sense to me.

Now back to the knife frenzy...if somebody wants my Arowana i give a "repeated high resolution photo mishaps" discount of 20 Bucks today....310 and it belongs to sombody else.

Someone please buy the Arowana!

I haven't made it to my Fiddleback Anonymous meeting this week, and I desperately need to stop bleeding money like I've got a punctured artery. At least until Friday...

It really is the least you could do.
