The Flea Market Mung Absolution Thread

Definitely a great snag. Todd definitely just made my Friday way more difficult. Someone please snag that Tuxedo HB or it will break me. :D

I can't believe my Fighter is still there...and at $400!?! My how times have changed over the last 2.5 years.

Yep, it is a different deal nowadays. I can remember 2 years ago when it was rare to find a Fiddleback available.

I remember all the careless spending I could commit because you could turn a knife around on the flea market in an hour, if that long! I guess you have to be a little more choosey now days.

I knew the flea market was slow but I didn't expect a Fighter to sit there. There's only like 10 or so in existence that I can track down. Oh well, I definitely don't mind keeping it[emoji41]

Man I understand. The runt I have listed is ridiculous... Though it is pending trade I was surprised it took that long! Good luck with your sale.

Been trending that way for the last year or so. Soooo many nice ones just sit forever at the dealers and with Exchange values are coming in at half of retail much of the time I am way more particular about what I pick up these days. With resale values dropping off so steeply it makes many people hesitant to purchase new ones. Half a dozen Terrasaurs and Bushcrafters at the dealers just sitting, unheard of
.
Too many dealers, too many knives + production versions. Part of the allure of a Fiddleback was the hunt for the perfect one, or barring that, something to use while you waited to 'upgrade'.

18 months ago there would be limbs and blood splatters all over the place from the sharknado to nab that Fighter.

Sharking is a laid back event nowadays. I always found the chase a part of the fun, but I know not everyone agrees.

I hope the Forge continues to attracts new blood. With some of these discounted secondary knives, even budget conscious buyers have a chance at owning a nice custom knife.. I do hope they find the value on what they are getting and don't always looks for flea market steals

A little shark activity in the water today. Practically free Kepharts get 'em going every time. :D

I missed this Duke since the day I let it go and extremely happy that it will be heading back home. Thanks Michael [emoji106][emoji106]
