I was late to this entire thing but that was very cool of you Hackenslash!

That picture thread and some of the accompanying commentary certainly made me smile this morning!
 
No worries, I just wondered if I was gotten forgotten. If I am not mistaken, the pot is at 100 $, that should make for a sweet knife. PWatkins, I wish you a lot of fun !

I think I've sent the pertinent info to everyone who wanted to kick in. I've sent a $50 card so this could turn into funds for a sweet knife!

Thanks for the gift cards everyone! I was planning on upgrading my brother-in-law with the contest if I won. He was at my house today for my sons birthday. After it was over I let him check out a bunch of my knives and i told him about the contest and that he would be getting a new knife. He works in an office so I was really surprised when he told me his favorite of the bunch was my R1D2. I thought he would have preferred a smaller knife but hey, you like what you like I guess.

He told me if I got him a rat to just use the difference on something for myself. So it looks like we both get a new toy:).
I think I'll get him a matching vic classic to go with his new Rat because well, everyone should have a classic.

Hackenslash, if you start another contest in a month or so like you mentioned, I'd like to contribute to the pot next go around.
 
How do you tag someone in a post? I wanted to make sure Hackenslash would see my previous post but I couldn't get it to work.

/Edit, and I think a R1D2 is a good choice for an office, CF Scales , Satin Blade, simple shape, can be opened smoothly without scaring anybody off.

You just write down @ and right after that the user name, or just the first 2-3 letters, give it a moment and you get a drop down menu where you can pick the user name if you see it.

I’m glad someone is getting an upgrade to their knife as a result of this. That’s what it was all about.

Let’s do this again soon. It’s fun to see the crappy knives and know we can make them go away. Thanks to everyone who joined in the fun!
 
Did anyone here send me an physical gift card? Not a egift card. I got a weird email from blade hq and their CS said it looks like someone purchased a card and sent it to me. It looks like the guy who paid for it is named Chris

Way to go, from everything I've heard of it I'd say he made a great choice.
And of course everyone could use a Vic classic.

You were my vote, and it looks like you were the right choice.
 
I did send a egift card. Nothing will come in the mail.
I don't know your address. For some reason even though it was a E card the payment page needed a address.

Just got back from the Grand Canyon on Monday. Just like to say thanks to Hackenslash Hackenslash for the fun contest, even if I didn't win. It was a riot just to see and read about everyones crappy knives.

And congrats PWatkins PWatkins for having the worst of the worst! :D
