Just received one. Seems very light, and the edge on mine is dull. Not sure how well this will chop.

Beautiful writing like that kinda brings a tear to your eye.;)

Blain, I sold mine to one of my best friends before I could do a chop off, but if the HOGB8 becomes a reality, you can bet there will be an INFI and Res-C Chopping Festival here in N. Commiefornistan.

Hahaha ;) --- I'm feelin' the love <3

That's cute.

If you buy a car that ended up having a defective tire, and you complained about it, does that mean you don't know how to change a tire?

So either send it back to be sharpened --- or just sharpen it yourself to your level of refinement and personal preference.

What Tom Said^^^^they can put the sharp back on that edge!!

If they want to send me a shipping label to send it out to them, that's fine. I won't spend more of my money to ship something back that should have been sharp to begin with. I'll just sharpen it myself. It's a knife and shouldn't come dull from the factory, though. If you bought a car that ended up having a leak in the tire when you bought it, would you just replace or patch the tire and think it was fine?

While I personally would prefer to receive sharper knives from the factory --- sharpness is subjective. To me sharp is a tool that can cut, chop, baton, etc. ---- I'm confident all Busse knives sent from the factory meet those criteria. If you feel that your knife does not do those things -- you can call and speak to someone about it. They list the names of the people that sharpened the knife -- to try to ensure some accountability. However, if you prefer to just vent on the forums --- I don't see much coming out of it. To each their own though.

Sharpness can be measured by all different sorts of standards --- ranging from: final grit, degree of polish, degree of edge angle, apex thickness, bevel height, etc. ----- therefore --- as long as it can cut, chop, baton, etc. -- it meets the basic needs. If people want it sharper -- they are welcome to sharpen to their hearts content -- which is what I do:
