It can't be contained!!!!!!!!

only 1098 replies to go before we hit 8,000 posts on this crazy thread!!!

I think we can do it by Christmas!!!;)

GO GO GO!!!

Every time I hike... Basic 8 LE #85 is molle'd on my pack!

So I got to thinking this weekend...could there be a better hiking buddy than my B8?

Maybe a drop point, nuclear meltdown Basic 8....just sayin'

I've always wanted a HOGB8, but for some reason I'm REALLY REALLY NEEDING ONE NOW!!!!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BRING IT TONIGHT BOSSMAN!!!!

Gonna be a good weekend to start cutting out some SWEDGED BASIC EIGHT GOODNESS!!!! "Surprise" us with a release next week Jerry!!! It must be done, FOR THE PEOPLE!

Okay, so both the .275"-.280" thick Dogfather and Son of Dogfather were praised today on this forum as being indestructible BEASTS of blades!

I can't to see how a .275"-.308" thick choiless INFI HOGB8 wouldn't smoke these blades as an all around indestructible "ONE KNIFE for the End of Times" option.

Sloth357 asked about the tangs on the B8 and had some concerns about strength. I think everyone did a pretty good job reassuring him there was nothing to worry about, but if that B8 he was drooling over was saber ground and fattened up just a smidge, there'd be no discussion at all!!!

C'mon Bossman.... ROLL THAT BEAUTIFUL HOGB8 FOOTAGE!!!! Sloth's gotta eat too!!!

Throw a Swedge on there and Andy the Aussie could slay a ton of those tuskers down his way and wouldn't have to worry about the rain rusting his rifles as he wouldn't even need to take them into the field. Most of those porkers would probably just roll over and die at the mere sight of the unsheathed HOGB8!!!

Just bought a Choiless B10 from a member to hold me over for a few weeks until I get my CHOILESS SWEDGED HOG B8!!!!

We NEED THE grEIGHT CHOILESS bEIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe if we start calling the shop daily (or hourly) asking for the legend to be released???????

We promise to act surprised!

Time to bring the mountain to Mohammed...or at least send the B8 to Josh @ REK...;)

Here's my sketch with requests...gonna leave it to Josh to make magic with ol #85...

Will post up the post-op pics....SOON I HOPE! Going in the post tomorrow!

Hey Petey. Looks good. Tip looks closer to what my choiless B10 looks like.
The thought came to me; Wouldn't the jimping by rough on your hand when you choke up in full grip on the choil?
Good luck with your mods!

Exactly what I was shooting for, the choiless B10 drop point, that is...

As for the jimping hurting my hand---I'm a masochist. ;)

No, I'm not...well, maybe a little...I jest...no I don't....

Seriously, when I choke up I'm performing more fine motor tasks like whittling or slicing apples, etc.

Not a lot of pressure is being applied thru the spine, so the jimping helps with traction...I've also found jimping on some of my other knives helps me index the blade <a bit> when I'm picking up the blade from off the ground or my workbench allowing me to more quickly get the blade in proper orientation if I focused <primarily> on something else.

When I chop, I have a hammer or modified saber grip fully on the res-C handle-- clear of the jimping.
