The Hunting of the Snark - Beckerized

The wife is a coffee connoisseur. Not only does she like coffee, she likes the different ways to make it. She uses her small 2 cup percolator on the camp fire, which works out great for her. However, it's a bit too small for the camp stove. I found this vintage 2 cup "Everwear" percolator with the fancy "bakelite" handles, haha. It's in great shape, and has a wider base. She fired it up last night, and loves it.:

So this happened.

Been thinking about doing this for a while. The lever on the right is the slide lock and on a typical Sig pistol it's pretty big and farther back than most other guns. I don't think I've ever ran this gun empty and had the slide lock back because my thumb would always interfere with the slide lock and the mag follower wouldn't be able to push it up. So, I finally took it apart and trimmed it down by a bunch. The only problem is that I can't release the slide with my thumb anymore unless I grab the slide and take the pressure off the lock. Not a big deal because it's not hard to release the slide without pushing the lever.

Just for reference here is a stock pic of a Sig pistol, you can see how much larger the lever was.

Here it is next to the other she uses. The "new" one has a notably wider base. You have seen the old one in several of my camp fire photos:

That little percolator is awesome. I need to keep an eye out. I have a neat gsi silicone coffee drip maker that does a good job at helping me fulfill my coffee fix.

Good deal, Hoss! I've been eyeing a few Sigs and a 1911 here recently. You're not helping.

I just threw a Tops Tracker at a cat that was poopin in my mulch. FYI.....Cats are fast, and can still poop while running.

Awesome stuff Trade!! Thats a great blade and looks like you put one hell of an edge on it.
