Well, I got my first buck this morning, but he was just a little spike. Oh well, I have to start somewhere. ;)


I'm taking a girl to a dance next week, and you guys aren't helping. :p I hope I don't get shot. :eek:;)

And Terrio, I guess that your lips are just sensitive or something, but my lips never had that issue in CO; which is colder than WI. Or maybe I just never noticed if my face was falling off or not, I was just too busy havin' fun, just like kids do. :D;) My knuckles would dry up and crack bad though, Udder balm worked good for that.

Pretty sure Wisconsin is colder than Colorado.

This was a risk most of us were willing to take.... Just think of it as an occupational hazard. ;)

Nah.... Just be kind, courteous, and a complete gentleman and you won't have a problem.

once the twig sticking out of the top had burned own a bit, I dropped a skillet on the stove, added a pint of ice cold water, and had a rolling boil in about 30 seconds.

Humph, I guess that is the average, but the record in CO is -61, and the record in WI is -55, but CO is uneven, parts of the state is cold, and the others are just weird. I was in one of the cold parts.

Just returned from the cabin. Got my stove installed. Worked freakin' excellent. :thumbup: Started snowing just as we were leaving, of course. It was a pretty ride home though, with the snow sticking to all the trees.
 
Hey WW, Dairy Queen's blizard of the month is Reeses PB cup. Think I might go grab me one and a couple flamethrower burgers.

Too cold around here for me to even WANT to be in the woods... Ill be glad when i get back to the south. My father told me today was 80° at his house and he was blowing the AC. What a tease.

I havent had a blizzard in FOREVER. I need to fix that!!

But id be getting those chicken strips and gravy with mine. Love those chicken strips with that gravy!!

Jerry, I still say that stove is pretty sweet, I'll need to get one when they are actually being sold!

Dubz, that is awesome! We got a inch, MAYBE two here, but it hardly stuck on the pavement. Work tomorrow will be interesting. I'm really tempted to throw up a hammock in the back and see how that will go with the bags. But at the same time that is a lot of work for in the dark, maybe later in the week (or next weekend.)

The stove was awesome. Didn't even remotely need blankets. As a matter of fact, we had to crack the window open, to cool down a bit, haha. The snow was great. I wanted to stay so damn bad.

I know its not knife related... I just personally love wood. SO mixing different natural woods and making a picture out of it appeals to me.

I look at some wood and want to buy it... Just to hang it up as is. Like buckeye burl for instance. Id love a HUGE slab of that stuff hung on the walls.

One day i want to build a table top with LOTS of different types of exotic wood... Maybe engrave or wood burn the names of each on the edges or something. Would be BEAUTIFUL and a great conversation piece with like minded individuals.... Would also work for letting people look at to choose which wood handles they want on a knife.
