I bought one of the Craftsman tool box sets that was on sale yesterday. Tonight I was getting it all set up and tools transfered and noticed that one of brackets that hold up the drawers wasn't set right, causing 2 drawers to droop. It would almost be easier to borrow a rivet gun and fix it myself, but I really don't think I should have to fix a brand new toolbox. Not sure if I'll take it back or fix it myself yet.
Any clue why they would shape the handle like this on the 2 on the right? What function would it help perform shaped like this, anyone know? Never seen hawks like that on the right. The left one makes enough sense. But id like to think the 2 right ones have a reason to be shaped the way they are, but damned if i know what that reason is. Seems like it may make it HARDER to use in some regards.

These are custom hawks made by RSK, he has a very similar shaped one on his website called the warhawk. For 345 bucks though.
My best guess is that maybe it's for fighting and using it in a reverse grip. If you're going hand-to-hand with someone it's more effective to attack low and swing up where their softer bits are.
Or maybe he just thinks it looks cool...
So if you had a way to sheath it so it hung head down, you could grab it like a pistol handle.
How's Neko enjoying his meat coma?![]()

If they're throwing axes it's probably more to do with aiding in the throwing velocity. Kind of like a built in atl-atl.
