The Iconic Buck 110 Folding Hunter

I would think the lock would feel as good as new. I havent seen any complaints about wear and tear causing slop. it would be interesting to know.

I’m guessing I’ve owned that knife for a year now (maybe a little longer - from first run of Smoke Jumpers). Lock is like new - I use the knife to cut bait and fish, I do no batoning, don’t bang on it with a rock to cut deer pelvis bones, or other BS like that. It is behaving as expected - I use it for normal stuff you’d use an outdoors knife for and it is holding up fine (no wobble either). OH

Love the early 110s with the non-rounded out bolsters. My 1973 is pictured here too!

If you wear out enough sheaths, an old square frame can have rounded bolsters too.:)

O.B.

I love those old 110s. Have a guy at work who has a 74 112 and I got to check it out and sharpen it for him. What a knife! Need to find myself an old 110 to add to my collection, but finding a good one for the right price is proving difficult.

I did however order me a custom 110 the other day. Nickel bolsters, blue wood, no rivets, drop point S30v blade. Can't wait!

"What model is that? I like the hollow blade grind and lack of a swedge."

It's a Buck Custom Shop 110 but with a drop-point blade instead of the typical clip-point blade.
The scales are water buffalo horn.
I just got it this year, hence the 2020 engraved.

So far, this is my favorite Buck 110.
