The Kershaw Speedforms have arrived.

Every time I look at the pic of one, I love how the titanium handle slabs are shaped a little more. The two-tone illusion is an awesome little detail, but it's a lot harder to see in hand than on camera.

I just can't bring myself to cut anything with mine, but I carry it all the time as a secondary knife, just to play with on occasion or show off.

Yea, we did that.

I guess I don't see the harmonious blade proportion issue, and I'm quite sensitive to balance and ratio.

I actually think that the blade shape and size perfectly matches the handle.
The two shapes compliment one another perfectly. It would look odd with a recurve blade or some other design that does not match the lines of the handle, as the present blade does.
As to the clip, i like the fact that it is small and the shape reminds me of a pen pocket clip. It is very low key in the pocket. It does not scream knife clip, which is a positive attribute in a classy knife like this. I also find that I use it as my index hold point when opening the blade.

Pardon my ignorance, but these aren't limited runs are they? I'm having trouble finding them anywhere because GPKnives doesn't have them, I don't know many other reputable places.

Found this pic, and felt your post fit it perfectly:

That picture is a perfect example of what I was talking about. The two-tone effect, the mirror swap of the dark and light halves, the very clean and straight blade shape...the Speedform is one beautiful, classy knife.

Gah I can't wait to get mine. I wish I ordered it a day earlier so it had a chance of getting here this weekend :(

I got mine today, #282 Man this is a nice knife, it feels real solid, lock up is perfect, blade is perfectly centered, opens real smooth and the lock bar disengages even smoother. I really like the pocket clip too, next to a wire pocket clip from spyderco this is my favorite pocket clip I've tried, it carries real discreet. I usually prefer tip up carry but it wouldn't work that well with this particular knife because the butt of the knife would jab at your side. The thickness of the blade and titanium scales is unexpected too, it really seems like a hard use knife. I'm very pleased with my latest acquisition.

The whole knife is elegance and function. I see nothing stupid on or about the speedform. The price was excellent considering materials, quality, and place of manufacturer.

So just to update... I sold mine quick. The knife was a nice looking one and the fit and finish was good, but in the end the placement of the pocket clip just ruined it for me. No matter which way I grabbed the knife the clip was just biting into my hand, whether holding it tight or lose,. It was just very annoying and ended up being sold. Other then that if you like the looks of the knife, the very thick blade, then it is built very good and you should have no problem with it unless the clip gets in the way like it did for me. Also, the clip wasn't the easiest to get in the pocket. You had to kind of pull the clip up to get it over the lip of your pocket because it just doesn't slide in like all other clips I have.

Finally opened my Speedform today (#018). I think it is a very nice knife but not something I would edc, mainly because of the thick blade. I get the impression there were some design compromises for the sake of aesthetics, which is a little disappointing but understandable given the nature of the knife.

I will keep the knife at least for a little while for its aesthetic appeal, but it will not be an edc. I should receive the speedform 2 in the mail today and maybe that version will be more utilitarian.

I was going to take some pics comparing it to the BM710 but clearly I was not alone in that thinking. :D

:D Here is another one will the rest of the knives in my HUGE collection:

The clip does feel a little weird in my hands, but nothing that makes me not like the knife. I think I'm just not used to tip down carry.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm bored, here are two more pictures:

After having this knife for about three months, I find it hard to put any other knife in my pocket. I still love it. I put it on my Edge Pro and it is crazy sharp and so soft feeling to hold with all the nice radiused edges that is is a pleasure to hold and cut with on a day to day basis.
Keep up the good work!!
