It’s just crazy how much smoother it is than the 31 and it might be in my head but the non ceramic ball lock just seems more secure to me. Clay let a real beauty of an example go, it’s the only 21 I’ve handled but if they are all like this I’m team 21 over the 31 haha

A lot of people prefer the 21. Perception aside, the ceramic lock up is stronger according to Tim Reeve. Somewhere around here there's a link to an interview.

The 21s are definitely smoother, at least in the sense of requiring less force to cycle the action. I do have one 31 that feels just like a 21, though.

I feel secure in the lockup on the 31, wasnt questing it at all but the smoothness is for sure where it’s at. My 31 has smoothed up night and day from new but it’s still not at all 21 smooth.
 
Are the 21s smoother because they’re older and broken in more or is it because of the design?

Agreed. I’m not bad mouthing the 31 at all. I have one that’s as smooth as a 21 but out of the box the 21 is all Sebenza. Now I have an original that is so smooth I keep checking for a loose pivot and a missing detent ball!

Maybe just buy a new Magnacut one and send it in for glass blast? Probably wont save you much with shipping and the 60 bucks for the blast but it would be new, yours and MagnaCut…

I’ve considered that too. The sprint run isn’t that special other than just having a matching set. I’ve also seen a few that were already glass blasted posted lately.
 
So the order they came out was the P, regular then 21?

What’s the story regarding the P and regular? Don’t know much about em.
