The kinda unspecified CRK talk thread.

Interesting... I have some LifePo4 batteries which yesterday Fed Ex was showing Arriving today (in Wi), yet they were in Harper Ks at the time...

As to the cherishing what someone used every day, my girlfriend wears her Dads watch every day. Damaged Speidel twist-o-flex band and all.
She has had it serviced (it's an Omega automatic) but refused to let me or the guy who serviced it fix or resize the band because that was the way he wore it.

As kind of a watch guy the band used to make me cringe, but knowing the significance changed that.

Anybody out there with a small inkosi that can either confirm or have experience the pivot turning when opening the knife?

Not so much a full rotation, but it catches at some point when opening and the pivot rotates ever so slightly?

I can’t say on a small but I did notice it on my 25 the other day and Kettleman Kettleman confirmed his 25 did the same. It doesent on my large Inkosi however.

Im assuming not, but there is no play or the pivot screw isn’t backing out it’s just spinning as a whole, on both sides?
Locked up solid, no side to side or vertical play. Easily flickable also.

Pivot bore is also lubed with CRK grease.

My 25 is the same, when the blade is closed the pivot spins slightly. At some point in the blade travel to open it catches and stops spinning and is rock solid when locked open. Sounds like the same deal but again not a small Inkosi.

My 25 doesn't do it while opening buy you can spin the pivot while the knife is opened or closed.
Ahhh, opened is strange. You would think the lock bar pressure would hold it still. Checking mine stand by… haha

Edit: yes mine spins while closed, while opening until a point where it stops and is solid while open.

I often “ forget” to pack my lunch in new knife day…
I'll be adding that to the list of reasons. Quite often it'll be because I "need to use the bathroom". I'm a home field player in that regard anyway, so it's not usually looked upon suspiciously by my old man and brother.

It helps that most of our work is usually not much further than a few minutes drive. There are worse things than knowing there's a package in the box and being an hour away, but not many...🤣

I'm not sure I can link them here directly. I don't think they are a paying vendor. Recon1 has these to be available next week. I almost wish I was in the market for it.
