The Knife Life (Minor Topics and Random Stuff Thread)

Great pic strategy9, that's alright the 4th ain't about being fancy:thumbup:

We'll be doing some grilling as well. I'll get some shots of the FF;)

We did all our grilling and firework-shootin' yesterday. Today I'm just kickin' back a few cold ones and enjoying these knives:) I hope y'all had/have a good 4th:thumbup:

Killin it, Blues:cool::thumbup:

We had a big fireworks show here on the 1st and had dinner with family yesterday so today it's pretty low key. Feels like it's been the 4th for the past 4 days lol:D

I never really needed to use my knife, but I did hand my Seb to my boss/ friend to cut open a box. About 30 seconds later he cursed me out about it being to sharp as blood was running down his finger. I couldn't help but laugh. I rarely loan my knives out, and when I do I don't usually think I need to warn them on how sharp they are.
All in all it was a great day though.

Here she is, in all her badly photographed glory!

Sorry fellas. I'm just not that great at taking pictures. I try, but fail hard.

I just hope you can get a good idea of what it looks like.

My plan is to put it away and not think about it one bit until my sheath comes in (which is going to take a while), then use that sucker with no mercy!

I've been waiting on one of these so long (and not thinking I'd have any chance of getting one) that I'm still a little in disbelief.

I traded the last of my "kin", plus cash, and now all I own is Busses.

I had Busses, Swamp Rats, and Scrapyards at one time, but when I started I only had Busse knives (the other two companies hadn't been invented yet).

It seems I've come full circle. And now that I've been around a while and know what I want and what "does it for me", I am beginning to have all my ducks in a row to have a collection that's just right for me.

At one time I had the full set of e-handles. I had to get rid of them one by one. As I'm slowly rebuilding my small Busse family, I get to choose from a much more broad assortment of blades.

I'm grateful for that, but I miss my E handles like crazy.

Thanks Joe! The AMS feels great in hand. It's very well suited to carry every day. I think it will make a near perfect EDC fixed blade.

Great looking blade Will!

Looks about perfect for edc and I'll bet its near indestructible too:thumbup::cool:

Right now I'm up in northern Cali to see the redwoods with my cousins, I'll snap some pics of the FF tomorrow with the trees if I have a chance. When I get back I'll be working because I finally managed to score a summer job. Nobody was hiring out of state college kids so I'm glad I was able to find something:thumbup:

Thanks! I bet it can chew up more than the average bear as an edc.

Congrats on the job Kris! Snap some photos if you can man. Have fun and be careful youngblood.

Got back from the trip, was pretty fun but a lot of driving.

Didn't manage to take any pics with the FF but I have a couple of the trees....

Bit blurry because we were driving pretty fast

Driving through one of the trees (it was also hollow)

Driving down the PCH.......honestly the most beautiful road I've ever been on. Just wish I still had my car for it...

So yeah, that was basically my trip. Not too shabby. Sorry for lack of knife content.
How's that busse working for you so far Will? Put it to use yet?

Neat pics! I really need to get out to the west coast sometime.

I used to work out-of-state a while back, but the furthest I made it west was the Wyoming/Nebraska border. 12+ hour drives in a minivan with 6 people, most of them chain-smokers... I don't smoke:(

Yikes Blues that sounds aweful:eek:

But yeah, get out here when you have a chance. Northern California is beautiful, far nicer than the south bit where I live. Lots of small coastal towns sandwiched between forested mountains and the coast:thumbup:

For some knife content, I made this earlier using the FF.....

Homemade double stacked mushroom Swiss burger.....with bacon;)

Even toasted and buttered the bun

I've been planning my escape from IL for a long time:)

Good lookin' burger! I had my first bison burger last week...Mango salsa, lettuce, BBQ sauce, Swiss cheese, brioche bun. Cut up some fruit with my new higonokami earlier, I'm trying to get a patina on this blue-paper steel:D

Damn, never heard of mango salsa before but I'll bet it tasted good:thumbup:

Patinas have always been a mystery to me, but I guess they look good to some folks. Pics or it didn't happen!!:D
