The Last Blade You'd Ever See Me Carry Is A.....

Holy crap--I thought you were joking at first, then realized you probably weren't...then I googled it. That's the number one "WILL NOT CARRY" knife on my list now.
As many others have mentioned, Dark Ops is high on the list as well.

Mantis knives laser guided chopper. If you haven't seen this and need a good laugh google it.

Do you need to have a Borg implant to use the guidance system? :D

A Victorinox SAK
or anything with Harley-Davidson or Bear Grylls on it (Although I'd have the Rob Bailey S4 and scratch the BG signature off it).

I wouldn't daily carry a knife worth over $50.00. Don't own customs, Sabenza, Strider, ZT, etc, and never have. Ignorance is bliss.
I would carry Sog, Byrd, CRKT, Buck ,Cold Steel, Kershaw, SAK, or Spyderco:).

I think perhaps the public response regarding fit and finish that Mr. Emerson made recently in his subforum.

Ah hah! I'll have to check it out as I have never owned and emerson and fully intended to buy one in the next few months after getting the new ZT flipper. Thanks, don't know if this bodes well for my plan or not.

Another knife I would staunchly refuse to carry is anything by Frost Cutlery. :D

Id never carry a flea market special. In all honesty, I probably wouldnt carry a knife less than $100. I am a price snob, I admit it. All my knives are in the $200+ range.

Knives I won't carry
Strider
Dark Ops
Boker "Reality Based" knives, or any other knife with that blade design.
Taylor brands that are made in China.
Anything In the display case at the gas station.
Anything with a "Celebrity" name on it.

Knives I will carry
Swiss Army
Leatherman
Buck
Kershaw
Mora
Case "American Workman" series

I think I only own one blade thats not scratched up, but that's because it's only a month old. I'm not dropping $$$ on a "tactical" knife that's never going to see any pocket time. If I carry it, it's going to be used a lot, and spend most of its working life sharing my left pocket with my keys.

The last blade you'd ever see me carry is:

Trendy over-sized, overweight, overbuilt "tactical" folding pry-bars that trade cutting performance for faux-hardcore image.

Anything with juvenile skull motifs, tiger stripes, camo and/or $tarlingear kitch, etc.

Cheap, crude, quick 'n' dirty finishes like bead-blast, galvanized trashcan (stonewash) and spray-on coatings.

Anything with a gimmicky semi-useless grind; e.g., excessive recurves, American "tantos," chisel grinds, "nightmare" grinds, etc.

Anything with flat cookie-cutter slabs of textured G-10.

Strider, Emerson, ZT (with the sole exception of the 0777) and their ilk.

Striders, big, clunky, awkward, for rich mall ninjas. The production ones are even worse they feel like a two cinder blocks and a piece of checker plate with a pivot pin and in my opion all striders sacrifice cutting ability and useful ergonomics for, other features which the appeal of which completely escapes me. Though I must admit the level of fit and finish on the customs I've seen is very high.
