Dont you mean convex blades?
Last blade you can see me carry is: Anykind of automatic knife or switch blade.
I do like to snap them though. My Kershaw Random Leek, SS framelock is much faster than any automatic as is my new ZT 0301 (with a bit of wrist) but not enough to harm anything.
A switchblade was something I really wanted when I was younger. When I was finally able to get one I no longer desired it.
Knives I won't carry ( some due to asthetics alone).. this doesn't mean I wouldn't own or collect some of these, I just wouldn't carry them.
1. Spyderco serrated folders- I know they are good knives, but to me they are like Movado watches: The real thing is a decent product, but there are so many knockoffs, even a real one looks like a cheap fake.
2. Switchblades- Cool when I was a kid, and I do own several, but they live in a drawer and are never used or carried.
3. Folders with multiple blades- folders do not need to try to be more than one knife/tool.
4. Hollow Handle knives- Just too tacticool for my tastes.
5. Any folder costing over $150- I use my knives, and a folder costing $300 will not perform better than a well made $150 knife. Extra cost is purely compensation for the knifemakers/name/art/etc...and while the price may be worth it to a collector, expense doesn't mean performance.
6. Plastic scales/handles- I don't like 'em. I'll rip them off and add wood or micarta. Plastic is cheap. If you go through the process of making a knife, plastic scales makes it look like you just got lazy at the end and said "F@#* it, add those cheap scales."
7.Serrated blades- IMHO a useless addition, hard to sharpen, hard to even cut rope with them.
Anything I don't like.
