The LAWKS system (Lake and Walker Knife Safety system)

I have the CRKT M16-03Z and initially wasn't too impressed with the Auto Lawks, but after realizing how much blade and lock play this thing has I'm kinda glad it has the Lawks. I won't buy another one.

Divine language? Only Devines I know of are Andy Devine, an old gravel voiced sidekick in an old cowboy series and Daisy Devine, a stripper I met in Biloxi 50 years ago. Neither real easy to listen to but pretty entertaining all in all.

It seems this so called "divine language" equates to talking out of ones ass.

Which, if I am any indication, is usually pretty darn foul smelling. A bowl of hot chili, and it's guaranteed I'll be talkin out my ass in short order. LOL!

I only speak the divine language so I couldn't understand this hominid with obvious anger management issues. So many folders would fail in this animal's test.

Your "divine language" says "english captions" in the lower right corner, oh superior feeling one :thumbdn:

Hello my friend, I invite you to freshen up on your reading comprehension. I mentioned the divine language in this thread in reference to a video that was posted in this thread and the video obviously wasn't spoken in the divine language...therefore the divine language is most likely the one I'm typing now...make sense?

so the divine language does not equate to the unprecedented ability to form words from ones rectum, as you assumed.

I never personally liked the LAWKS system. Especially the auto LAWKS. I had a CRKT Triumph that I eventually sold. I just couldn't get over the auto LAWKS system. I have a CRKT Marzitelli Prowler that has the LAWKS feature. I don't think that I have ever engaged it. I think its just a marketing gimmick. Thats just me though.

And...with that...I think our new friend K.O.D. has been definitively proven correct.

I also thought the "divine language" was the one priests used to convince the alter boys to let them touch them in a bad way...

Back on topic...

I think most of us will agree the lawks system is a stupid gimmick for a crappy lock design.

If I knew nothing about knives, I would think, yeah that's a really great Idea. In theory, it prevents the lock from disengaging except for complete lock breakage.

Lionsteel pretty much did the same thing, and they got an award for it. Liner and frame locks are my favorite lock types by far. I have never had a problem, and never will if its done right.

The LAWKS was designed because crkts linerlocks were not designed properly, and kept failing.

I'll stick to my knives that took more then 2 mins of R&D

I'm not trying to attack, but do you own any liner lock knives made by a better company than CRKT?

I'm in no way a lock expert, but use one of my knives all day and from when I used a Crkt I thought it was barely a step up from a Gerber........almost like some kit cars, cool designs but a let down when you use them
