The Les George Knives Thread

I think the usefulness of that blade design and the incredible ergonomics far outweigh the negatives. The Myna has become an all time favorite of mine. And surpasses the talos for best new knife of the year from Les imo. I understand if it’s a pet peeve of yours or fit n finish is of the utmost importance to you. On the bright side it’s not on the show side.

This is mine, personally it’s barely noticeable unless looking for it. Had to hold it a certain way in the light to get a pic of it. But if it bothers ya you can’t unsee it I suppose.

Kinda like that funky thumbnail buddy 😜😂

Yep that is pretty much identical to what I have including the scale design. I’ll get over it. Was just a little off putting and was curious. I love the knife otherwise. Thanks.

Good deal, I’m a certified LG fanboy but I try not to be one of those that thinks he can do no wrong or have excuses for anything less than perfect.

I've always liked the wood pattern LG's and have historically been a flipper fan. Lately as I gravitate back towards heavy-duty/overbuilt knives I find myself less interested in flippers with bearings, but my recent affair with my Talos has me wanting more Les George so his flippers are very intriguing.

Has anyone here swapped Skiff bearings or thick washers into a Servo?

I tried to install some Skiff bearings in my Servo and while the ID fit the pivot, I ran into problems with the OD of the Skiffs being larger than the what was machined in the scales. I think I had a Servo from a very early batch so things may have changed. May be something to confirm / measure on more recent Servo before ordering new bearings.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind. I received my Servo Saturday and I'm thoroughly impressed. The action is far beyond what I was expecting and at this point I'm not sure if I'll try to swap bearings or not. The pivot has been backing out so I did throw some Loctite on it last night so it will stay put where I want it. Fully tightened and with no blade play, it still drops shut effortlessly to a perfectly centered position. As I said before I've put Skiffs in pretty much every bearing knife I've owned for quite a while now and this is one of the first times that I'm not really sure there's anything to improve. I'm not crazy about the flipper tab's overall profile...it's a great shape and very easy to actuate, but it seems a little larger than it needs to be both open and closed. I don't dislike it, but I think I could like it more. Overall I think this one is definitely a keeper and I appreciate the help I got here in making it mine!
