Well, it was designed by Les George, so it's pretty much guaranteed to be an awesome knife.

Seriously tho, I have been really pleased with it. Very comfortable handle that's grippy but not abrasive, and just an all-around useful design. I wouldn't hesitate to grab one.

If you come across one, the Protech Fixed ESR is another great pickup! Very similar handle texture to the Magnate and a great sheath as well!

How ya like the valmara? It’s the one I want out of the d7 lineup. Just wish it wasn’t an auto.

I dig it, mine is from the original prototype run. It fires hard similar to a protech and the fit and finish is near perfect. Only gripe is that the drawstring bag that came with it is too small for the knife
