I knew it was not a 1! LoL. I got my name drawn in a lotto for a chance to buy one of maybe 20 of the first or second batches. At the time it was the most I have ever spent on a knife and was practically in pain to send the money. But the VECP/Rockeye has the extra clean design that I love, so I did it

8.5 years ago this V3 ( thanks mitchnola ) was in my pocket in the delivery room when my youngest daughter was born. I cut her umbilical cord with it!

Is that the blue/black DLC on the blade? I have a Talos with that coating, and it is beautiful, almost like the blueing on a classic colt or S&W.

Its black DLC but the blade is stonewashed. Not sure which was done first but its clearly black in hand but does sometimes look grey or even blue depending on oils on the blade

It's a protech rockeye with an eki clip...not much more to tell

I wish Protech made the rockeye in MC or s45vn in non-auto with studs :-( I guess I could "modify" their s35vn autos to get somewhat close.

Now if any of you fine Les heads has a user grade flipper VECP laying around that you didn't know what to do with..... that's another club I'd love to be a part of!
