I think I've only noticed one for sale since I started kind of watching, and was too late. There must not have been that many of them made?

Yea, it's been kinda fun hunting, I'm sure one will turn up eventually 😊 how it usually works is once you give up or put finding it on the back burner, it falls into your lap. Kinda like this tanto VECP

That's how it works - just happened for me with a different knife exactly like that. "I guess this version will be fine" and then exactly what I was looking for showed up. The hunt is all part of the game!
 
Has anyone disassembled a VECP Button Lock? I just got one the other day and it has a bit of lock stick. I tried to take it down to clean and polish a bit, but failed. It seems like the locking mechanism is holding the scales together, but couldn’t figure out how to get it to release. What’s the trick?

I haven’t broken mine down. I did a quick search on YouTube and didn’t see any videos on it. The lock stick will go away. It just needs to be broken in. You could always use the pencil trick till it breaks in. Regardless it would be nice to know how to break it down. You could always ask Les on ig or fb if no one here knows how.
 
Heck yeah I'm happy for you man! Ol mitchnola is a good dude but I know that I've got several grand less jingle in my pocket because of him! 😂 I need a VECP flipper and an Eagle myself Mitch so help me get rid of a little more!

Yeah, I have done a pretty extensive search and haven’t found anything. I had actually been thinking about trying to contact him when I stumbled across this page. The stick has gotten a bit better, but I can see the lock has a rough edge that looks like a burr. I think the combo of that and a the notch for the lock to engage having some lines from milling are what’s causing the stick. Nothing a little polish won’t fix. I know time and use will do the same thing, but I enjoy tearing my knives down and fiddling with them.

Haha, that’s probably more Rick’s fault than mine, but I try!😂 Eagle and flipper huh? I’m on it but I’m gonna have to start charging a commission, lol.

If anybody finds a g10 v2 vecp I’ll gladly pay a finders fee!! 😂

The handles are black DLC.

This was apart of an insane drop that Whitty did to celebrate the USA Made Blade Insiders group on FaceBook reaching 1,000 members. I got quite lucky.

There are only a couple of these out in the wild right now but there are many more to come according to Les!

The fixed rockeyes are only available in the SBR version. I wish I had bought two of those full sized. Its a great knife. The handle texture was insane though. I knocked it down with 1000grit paper
