I’ll def give the Teflon tape a try . I’m still trying to dial it in . I find that I like it just tight enough to have 0 noticeable blade play side to side or up and down . This for me leaves the blade essentially drop shut with the button.Awesome, man! I agree that the button lock VECP is a great user. The stonewashed finish hides any scratches well and the Magnacut blade means you never have to worry about corrosion and rarely have to sharpen it. You're right about the pivot sensitivity as a tiny turn goes a long way. Les recommends that you use some plumber's tape instead of Loctite to keep the action exactly how you want. I'd never tried that until he suggested it and now I have some on all the Les knives that I carry.
If I tighten it any more the thumb deployment feels a bit hit or miss although middle finger flicking is still easy .
how do you all run it ?
