The Les George Knives Thread

It’s quite a few that I am missing, btw thank you for the list ! Now let the journey continue to finalize it. And once I am done it will be donated!

When I start chasing LGs my goal was to have one of each model and each variation of the models (e.g. thumb stud, flipper, button lock). Took a lil over a year to do so. But couldn’t stop and ended with well over 20.

Had a awakening late past year and realized I didn’t need or carry all of them so I sold the safe queens and duplicates. So for the past year or so I’ve been pretty static at around 8-10. Still keeping one of each model and variant. I currently don’t have a LG Talos but I count the D7 in that spot cause I prefer the button lock.

It's a very clean build, not unlike the button lock VECP. Impressive work. I like it (even) more than I expected to. Blade flies out like an auto.

(Be back in an hour or so.)

Cmon, just say it. You know what I’m talking about. 😉😂

either great pics or yours just looks better than mine? I figured ya like it and im glad ya do. good size on scale thickness, length and just overall. just a good knife.

I wasn’t much of a reverse tanto fan in particularly on how they look but after getting the Myna I love how useful the design is.

Just some quick pix with my iPhone on the porch. They're the only ones I took, so I didn't go parsing through them.

It does look good and it feels great in hand. Edge doesn't have the slightest perceptible imperfection. (The VECP very similar in that regard.)

I can't think of a nit...alright, the centering is off a micron or two...not even enough for OCD to kick in.

I think I may like it even more than the VECP, but I'm not ready to stick by that yet.

Five ounces on the nose.

Mitch, I don't know what to tell you but that it's worthy of what I consider the inner circle of knives by my favorite makers. Those are the ones which I look upon as permanent additions, by and large.

I'm still not genuflecting and taking a knee, but I'd have Les over to the house and he wouldn't have to bring a bottle.

You know I be messing around boss! But how much more manly than the dixon would have hit the spot! 😂

Well, I'm gonna modify my statement and say that Les' work is definitely somewhat "cleaner' / more meticulously crafted. But that isn't intended as a slight on the Dixon, which I am definitely digging so far. They are variations on a theme. The Dixon is a more "in your face" design, though I don't know if it is any more rugged when put to the test or push comes to shove. (The tip is definitely left thicker, so there's that.)

Fair enough, I’m just happy to hear your enjoying it.

Now let’s talk about the MK3. I think it’s vital for home protection or a zombie apocalypse. We need to get one in your pocket asap!
You don't have my address?

(I definitely think, based upon early impressions, that the Myna appears to be an excellent addition.)

I've always thought they'd be less useful for EDC, though by all accounts they are great knives. I like the look of the morph design, or whichever pattern it's called on that knife.

That said, I always wonder how a trial jury would look upon one carried and used for its original design intent. (As in, "was he looking for trouble?")

Even (ex) LEOs are not immune from prosecutors trying to paint them into a corner.

That said, a knife is the last option I'd want to rely on in an event that went sideways. (Personally. I have no qualms with anyone else's choices.)

solid points.

we are in agreement on using a knife as a weapon. it'd be my last option too.......

I do just like the look and size of the mk3 though.
