The Les George Knives Thread

We really do need to get back to knife discussion here before the thread is moved to W&C
agree...sorry Blues for all the way off topic.....

I have been carrying my mk3...I already loved the design and its been growing on me. its a better daily task cutting user than design would have ya think....but i just got a new spyderco starmate and the mk3 got kicked out of my pocket for a bit anyways....

Just so this thread doesn't get relegated into the abyss, I'll share an interesting one. This is a "little knife" from 2021 that Les hand-ground from some scrap 204P steel Chad Nichols had lying around. When Les saw I had the knife, he surprised me by mailing me the skeleton plate it was water-jet cut from. It was an incredibly thoughtful gesture that meant the world to me. Originally, I wasn’t sure if I was going to keep the knife, but after receiving the source plate, it happily became a permanent part of my collection.

Y'all wild rockers almost got the King's thread shut down! On topic, do any of y'all have any feedback on the Spartan and LG dagger collaborations?

There is a informative article here about the history of the V-14 that won Blade Show's 2014 Collaboration of the Year:

At Blade Show 2024, they released a small 10 unit run to commemorate the 10th anniversary. My buddy bought one and I'm still holding on to it for him. I know for this batch, Chad made the Damascus, Spartan ground the blades, and Les made the scales. However, I'm not sure how the work was split on the original run.

Oh yes......it is a keeper either way.......but you now have no option. Knife gods would frown upon you and your bloodline. ;)
