Love my PJ, you are in for a treat!
The wise village elder..............I've had these sorts of problems longer than many of you have been walking around on this planet. Just sayin'.
I really dig the button lock as well. Is so different than my other folders. Has displaced a CRK, a Strider, a Koenig, and a Shiro temporarily .. just be sure to dial in the pivot and loctite or teflon tape -- took me 2 times to get mine right and I find I like mine where it has just the tiniest amount of side to side flex when holding the knife tip and the back of the handle -- but the action is drop shut and perfect.I'm really looking forward to it.
I've always loved those Watch Works SHFs. One of these days, I'll bite the bullet and grab one. Also, fully agree about the 0900. It's an awesome knife. I'm tempted to find a heavily used one so I could convert it to a thumb stud non-flipper. I just can't bring myself to do it with the one I have.Watch Wednesday and a 0900 tagging along. I have another 0900 on the way. ZT and LG was a match made in heaven, I hope they revisit the relationship at some point.

I recently turned down a trade offer of a brand new Morph DLC Button Lock Damascus for that flipper so it's going to take a lot to pry it away from me. It's my only flipper! Plus, it really is an exemplary version of one. The condition and action of it are both perfect.I have a second watch handle NIB waiting for you to get tired of a VECP flipper![]()
I completely understand, I'm just giving ya a hard time. Truth be told, these two watch handles have the best action out of all the SHFs I've handled, it works out perfectly that it's my favorite handle design to date.I recently turned down a trade offer of a brand new Morph DLC Button Lock Damascus for that flipper so it's going to take a lot to pry it away from me. lol to be honest if you're not interested in the smooth action and just open and close it with 1 hand slow roll -- has no advantages over a CRK IMO. button lock is a great action but for me that advantage comes from the ability to deploy and close quickly without fingers being in the way and the smoothness of the action.More like the wisenheimer village elder.
To be honest, I'm not really interested in whether it drops shut or flicks open. I tend not to fidget with my knives, and open and close them the way things were done back in the Pleistocene. (Talk about traditional.) So, if it doesn't need adjusting or adding Loctite or plumber's tape, I'll be pleased.
Agree completely. I only have the LG button lock and maybe I’m wrong but I would assume most button locks have similar action because they don’t have a detent. Kind of like the axis lock or compression lock. That’s why i feel like it’s his thumb stud frame locks that really shine in the action he achieves with them compared to other similar frame locks. The mk3 being the pinnacle of amazing action!lol to be honest if you're not interested in the smooth action and just open and close it with 1 hand slow roll -- has no advantages over a CRK IMO. button lock is a great action but for me that advantage comes from the ability to deploy and close quickly without fingers being in the way and the smoothness of the action.
I wasn't buying because I was hoping that it would surpass my CRKs...but complement them. I don't (currently) have any button locks, LG has a good name around here, enough people I respect speak highly of the work, and so I wanted to scratch the itch as well as support a maker deserving of support, and whose work I never got around to sampling previously.lol to be honest if you're not interested in the smooth action and just open and close it with 1 hand slow roll -- has no advantages over a CRK IMO. button lock is a great action but for me that advantage comes from the ability to deploy and close quickly without fingers being in the way and the smoothness of the action.
Les is definitely a great guy to support!I wasn't buying because I was hoping that it would surpass my CRKs...but complement them. I'm way past the point of believing there will ever be "the" one knife that rules them all...but there are several I like from various makers, all of which are satisfying for one reason or another and which I'll probably hold on to for years to come.
I'm looking forward to being wowed...without feeling I should clear out the shelves of any others.
Wow… I think you’re looking for the other thread lolIt would be cool to have a Les Warnie...So since they don't exist and in the spirit of WednesdayView attachment 2504309
