The Les George Knives Thread

I was going to do this for SuperFly Sunday but it also works for Wilson Combat Wednesday. #19 of 25 with Damascus blade.

A few months ago, I had the stonewashed blade version of this and I was thoroughly enjoying flipping it until I made a careless mistake and accidentally grabbed it by the bite handle during a session. After needing three band-aids and reluctantly posting it for sale, I realized my love for my fingers outweighed my love for the balisong. 😆

Wait, you guys have states that let you have autos?

:(

OTOH this has saved me a lot of money over the years.
I feel sorry for you guys in the Uber liberal states. Not only can we carry autos...We can carry concealed guns with NO LICENSE!!! Gasp how in the world are any of us alive in this state!!! 😆 All yeah and as an added bonus we even have stand your ground laws on the books 😁. Don't get me wrong I'm pretty bored of Ohio as Ive been here my whole life. But we do have some kick ass laws. For all of you stoners we also just passed recreational marijuana as well !

Irritatingly our local Republicans decided on the "GET IN LOSERS, WE'RE GOING LOSING!" strategy, and the state representative who was pushing knife law reform also decided he couldn't get through his current term without sexually harassing people, so now we have red flag laws and a yuuuuge crackdown on private party sales, and Wisconsin got legal auto knives before we did. We'll probably be the last state to get them.

I don’t get it. 90% of knife wounds are self inflicted! Trust me I know from experience!

Ps: I just made that figure up

I think we need a declassified Blues tales thread in W&C 😁
It wasn't on the job, oddly enough. It was my first week in college and a guy was menacing a gal at knife point in the dorm. I decided to intervene. Got a portion of my left index fingertip sewn back on as a trophy. No good deed goes unpunished.

You mean to tell me “hey honey, look at my shiny new knife” wasn’t working? What kinda braud was this?

Yesterday, today and tomorrow...

I’m early out of the gate for Fixed Blade Friday. Carrying around the house counts, right?

The latest edition to my Les George collection; an Elishewitz / George Association spin on the Fairbairn-Sykes dagger. I wasn’t sure how I would like this one given I tend for a heavier handle material. Once in hand, I was blown away. The overall light weight and balance is spot on and the micarta handle feels great. Allen did an amazing job with the finishing and the hollow-ground dagger is my absolute favorite. Looks like Les has a couple variants of this with him at Blade Texas.

Day 12: Fixed Blade Friday

This Magnate is my only Les George fixed blade so far. I figure I don't need yet another rabbit hole to go down, although I'm sure I'll eventually cave and grab a trench knife and one of the many incredible daggers Les does. For now, I'm really digging this one. Having a giant hunk of Magnacut at my side makes me feel prepared for whatever tasks I'd happen to run into. I even used it to carve the family turkey this year! My only complaint about the knife is that I didn't love the Kydex sheath it came with so I picked up a JRE Model Q leather sheath, which has been a perfect fit and vastly improved my carry experience.
