Back to the VECP today. Man, I love this blade.

I couldn't agree more.

I grabbed the button lock on my way out the door this morning. I'll probably be selling other folders off next month that I really don't need to hang on to anymore....

Necroanax recommended me a guy that makes g10 scales for vecps. Because patience isn’t a virtue of mine and finding the v2 g10 vecp is going to take sometime, I had him make me one. I specifically bought the fde vecp for this scale because I didn’t want to change any of my other vecps and thought it would look good. Super happy with it. He does great work! Love the grippiness and saves almost a oz of weight.

Whoa! I had no idea you had this in the works. That is a perfect fit with the FDE blade. Looks great and makes it one-of-a-kind.

It's more that it's a one off sort of thing...not something which will occur on any sort of recurring basis. It was simply a matter of unexpected, but very welcome, synchronicity.

A lot of people mistake this for a Wilson Combat Eagle. Some more astute observers believe it's a Wilson Combat Talos. A handful of Type A nerds know that it's actually a Wilson Combat Talon, because that is the slight name tweak Wilson Combat gave this version of Les's Talos model when they sold a very small run of them in 2015. Les said that only around 25 of these were ever produced and that they all came out of his shop. mitchnola also has one of these bad boys so I like to jokingly say that together we control 8% of the world's supply.
