The Les George Knives Thread

A few months ago I picked up a used PJ Tanto VECP that I thought was vapor honed. In reality some dude took sand paper to the scales, jacked it up, did his best to recover and then listed the knife with heavily edited pictures. I got duped 😔

Rather than sell the knife for a big a loss, I figured this would be a cool opportunity to do something sweet with a badass canvas. I mean, when else will I have the opportunity to, guilt free, mod a VECP Tanto 🤷‍♂️😂

While the process took significantly longer than I had hoped, I must say I’m pretty pleased with the results. Cris at Serpent Run Customs does great work, just not the most efficient or communicative guy.

With that, I’m supremely stoked to finally be able to show y’all the Bronze Battle Tanto 🤘

Wow, that’s awesome! Great design and work! Where did the spoon clip come from?

Thanks man, I’m really happy with it - looking forward to carrying and using this one!

As for the spoon clip, I actually got it with the knife so it is likely from the last batch Les sold on his site… definitely a nice touch.

Blues Blues you should look into streaming wwoz for music. It’s a radio station based out of NO. It’s all I listen to. I think you would enjoy it.can be streamed online or through the app.

I have quite a bit of N.O. music in my own collections as well as on Spotify. I've seen a lot of the old Zydeco acts back in the 80's and 90's when they played at Tobacco Road in Miami.

Jazz and Blues music are my first loves, but I have eclectic tastes that encompass a lot of genres.

Well then this is exactly what you’re looking for I assure you. Jazz, blues, funk, zydeco and more. A new dj comes in every 2 hours and plays a different style of music. You will discover a new love every day. You will almost never hear the same song twice. I’m also a big fan of jazz and blues. Funk is my favorite though.

Well the knife gods have been good to me! Got this in the mail today as well. I was doing so good for a while not buying anything then I totally blew that all to hell 😔😆. I've still got a few more coming this next week then back to my self imposed stoppage. See how long I can get this time. It felt good having a good nest egg of mad money put back. But this is a sweet knife by Nic Nichols made in North Carolina. The knife is a Guppy and according to him this is the only one they did with the Hamburgler. I didn't realize till I got this knife that he was a contestant in Forged in fire season 7 episode 33. Check him out they sell his stuff on USA Made Blades. I'm pretty sure he's a paid sponsor so I can mention it, if not I apologize and will take it down.IMG_20240316_113050964~2.jpg
