Been a while since i've handled a fishing rod but...
You should be able to make a light small game bow, or whip bow

You could do any of the thing you can do with a thin springy branch, for example a snare engine or use it as part of your shelter.

And of course, you could obtain or make some cordage, lures and hook (as seen earlier in this thread) and go fishing with it. :P

ACE bandages are the elasticated ones right?

in which case, you could use it as the band in a slingshot.
tie it round your head/neck as a sweatrag
use it to provide pressure on an injury, by wrapping it tightly over some kind of wound pad.

next item: a towel.
 
On hot days, wet it down and fan it through the air. You can use this to cool yourself down :thumbup:

Next item: Cake cooling rack :D

Well since no one else is going to step up,
1) Use to grill over a cooking fire.
2) Break apart for sharp pointy objects.
3) Use for tying branches together (lean-to anyone?)
4) If you have a lot of time on your hands you could draw a rod out for fishing hooks.
