There's a couple guys around here seeking fixed blades but this doesn't fit their stated desires, so I though id ask.

It's funny. I've actually not been able to sleep much since this thread started. Been averaging 2-4 hours a night. I prefer 7-8. But I'm not hearing the voices that I usually do when I'm not sleeping enough (don't worry I heard that it's normal, and no, the voices didn't tell me so) ;)
So now I'm trying beer. At my Bible group earlier I had some whiskey too :D
Also I discovered that nobody knows why we should think that the Bible is the word of God, infallible, etc? I can't find anything about it :confused: Really pissed off some folks.
But I don't mean to distract...

Somebody ought to jump on that K55k. I love mine. I've been carrying it as my "tactical" folder :D along with my leatherman.
An interesting story my Dad once told me about his old "Cat knife" as he called it.
He was riding his Honda back from school in San Francisco when he was in his early 20's. He lived in Modesto California about 90 miles or so east of the city by the bay, and commuted twice a week. From time to time they get socked in with fog, which is just stinking scary on a bike. Anyway, some guy in a beater pick-up pulls a right in front of him and he lays it down and slides into him (pick-up doesn't even stop) The only thing that saved his hide was that Cat Knife in his pocket, he ended up back and blue, broken ribs, etc and didn't wake up until they were putting him in the body bag, he lived for another 45 years or so. Tough SOB. I wish I had that knife, but that was long before I was even a twinkle in his eye, and what use is a cheap broken knife? Anyway, I have my own K55K now and my boy will have it some day. Hopefully I won't have any exciting stores behind it. ;)
 
Yes i agree it looks like a nice folder, im sure someone will be along shortly to take those things, people are sleeping now... most of em anyway HA
 
As promised, here is the Queen skinner. She ain't the prettiest girl at the ball but she's still fun to play with. LoL The story on this one is that I found it hidden in the top of the closet of a house we moved into when I was 14. The sheath had been cut up and I fixed it to the best of my abilities at the time. I carried this knife around the woods for a couple years before I got a "better" knife aka tacticool flea market survival knife. I want this one to go to someone who will actually use it. Hunting season is upon us and I know one of you guys needs a new skinner or maybe your Son/Daughter needs one this season?

I'd also like to give away these as a set. Anyone can take it,I just ask that you give them to a youngster ( or anyone just starting out). You also have to spend some time with them outdoors ( on your honor). They aren't that great but they mean a lot to me ( the knives ).
the fixed blade was given to me by a friend a few years ago when I started getting interested in fixed blades. the steel is 1045 surgical steel, the handles are ebony. the blade is around 4.5" and the OAL is around 9". it has a deep etch on both sides; a deer track on one side and a stag on the other.
the stockman was given to me by my father. it's made by Colonial. I've heard that they aren't valuable but good quality.
Lastly the slingshot is a Daisy.

Boy, is that boy gonna be happy! Great set. Now, he just needs a BB gun and a coonskin hat. Awesome!

Keep watching the thread. If I manage to find another something from this thread, I'll see what I can do about the sodbuster. Might be a Bulldog, though. I kind of love my Case.

It cuts wood like butter. But i'm just getting my collection started so I could really use to pick up a few classic patterns out there. Just happen to have this one in the laminated and the plain carbon steel.
