Btw, I am a Chevy fan, though I drive a Ford........figure that one out! Anyway, in my youth I had a 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS with the 396 and cowl induction. Man late at night, floor it, watch that cowl flip up and hear that big quadrajet carb open those back holes and just suck down that ~ 40 cent a gallon gas! Man nothing like it at all!!!! Those were the days.

strippping them is half the fun. if it's a knife I may use for food prep ( my bk14) I strip it with chemicals and force a patina. if it's for wood processing only (bk91), I like letting the coating wear off on its own.

Yeah, I hear alot of people strip them. I just wish they would make them uncoated as an option!

Sold a watch to get a recurve, i think im going with the 62" sammick sage at 45#, but first need to figure out a way to order it! I dont have or use paypal, but i have an awesome friend who accepts paypals for me, the money from the watch is stuck in paypal and 3rivers dont take paypal But im a step closer to getting it now

I have a request. The order is a bit tall, but for some time I've been trying to get into balisong flipping. The problem is, I can't afford the kind of balisong I would need to seriously practice. I've got several mtech twists, but they need constant sharpening (I do flex my flippers into use roles. We can't carry balis where I live, so I carry them around the yard and around the house). The other problem is that the screws are garbage. I just need a dedicated tool that I can practice with that's balanced for flipping and isn't made of solid steel. For all it's faults my biggest complaint with the twist is its weight. It can get away from my hand somewhat frequently. Ideally, if I had to put a name on it, I'd say I need a BM51, but anything better than the twist that isn't steel would be awesome. However this turns out, it's done a lot of good so far. All of you guys are great. Props to all the givers and grats to all the lucky folks who have felt the kindness here. Very unexpected. Cheers.
