The Mini Thread (Grip, Presidio, Stryker, etc)

Three nice new Benchmade/H&K 3" blade folders this year: 484-1 (S90V/CF), 485 (M390/G-10) and 14716 (D2/G-10).

Good stuff! I already got the 14716 and just ordered the 485 today. Pretty much spending my 2015 knife budget by the first week of February.

The 485 may not have a bigger version it is still a great "Mini" Benchmade.
Here it is with a Mini HK Axis 4716 and a 531 also not a mini but still a good smaller EDC Benchmade.

I've been without a Mini for a while. I have rectified that today though. :)

Small Bone and hybrid Presidios

I love that bottom one. Feel free to tell me all about that, I'm all ears. Love it! Dang!

Highly modified 525, liners were taken to the grinder to remove the jimping. Brown linen Micarta was used for the replacement scales and all screws and hardware (liners) polished as well. Sold long ago, it was a beautiful knife...and much lighter without the aluminum scales.

Really liking this HK mini. A real departure from anything I've carried before - kinda reminds me of a Strider for whatever reason. It seems almost too small when you first hold it, until your hand locks onto it in the open position, the forefinger in the cutout and the thumb on the blade spine. It is the most overbuilt mini Benchmade I've ever know of -- the rear spacer standoffs are nested into the liners just like the stop pin, with screws running into all sides of everything, creating a very rigid frame. The blade shape is very utilitarian. It's a great compliment to some of the fixed blades I usually carry, lending itself to be very office-environment-friendly. Very thin and low-profile in the pocket also.

OK, I'll bite. What did you get ?

Standard 556. I will probably be ordering a Mini-Ritter soon as well. Thinking about getting an HK 14716. It's a great value but I'm not sure about handle length and design really.

That knife intrigues me. I wish I could hold one.

The Mini Barrage is my favorite blade shape out of all my knives. It's a healthy drop point, but that little swedge makes it look like a clip point in some light. I like everything about the knife. I carry it about 60% of the time and my full size Barrage about 40% of the time.

 I never paid much attention to the HK line, but they have a couple models out that look to be a great buy. I like the sand color

Same here. The 14176 looks like a great knife. D2 isn't my favorite and the handle is a little shorter than a Mini but I'm thinking about trying one out.
