The most American Knife

Well I think if it comes down to either a Buck 110 or a Bowie. Maybe the Buck 119 is the real "Most American Knife"

When I saw this one come out a little while back, I thought, "I wish I had the power to name it." I would call this one the "'Merica so hard".

Being a Spaniard, I always associated the term "American Knife" with "Buck 110" or "KaBar" since childhood.
Most of my friends here in Spain thought it that way too.

The 110 was my vote, but I was also thinking 119 and Ka-Bar. Of these, I would note that kabar/kbar is an acceptable play in scrabble or Words With Friends. Well, so is buck, but not generically for the knife.

Bowie Knife

I've seen your avatar pic a hundred times, at least. Never clicked on it. Glad you posted the full pic.

To me, no offence, the knife is not for me, not my style, if I have one, but that is absolutely beautiful. Spent a good five minutes looking at the pic.

That is nice, and the burl slab table top is too, thanks for putting the pic up.

Oh, I like the bowie knife but, I have to vote for the 110, because every big ass knife you carry as an American out of the country is looked at as a Bowie knife. at least that's been my experience.

A Buck 110 with American flag scales, in a pouch with a screen printed photo of the knife owner holding an AR in one hand and a Big Mac in the other on it, on a belt with a Confederate flag buckle, holding up jeans made with child labor in a 3rd world country, while driving a truck made with American parts assembled in Mexico.

'MURICA

Could you add "Daisy Duke" babes in the back of the truck, yelling Yahooo and 'bouncing' as you drive by?
Thank you. [emoji50] [emoji481]

Who's to say that they don't drive a '75 DODGE D instead of a new Ford f150 .

And what about their " born in the USA " T-shirt, 24 pack of mountain dew , and Boston blaring loud enough to blow the speakers out 😁

Thank you

This was to be an MS test knife for Sam Lurquin

It is a rendition of the Musso Bowie which is a supposed candidate to be the knife Bowie carried at the Alamo

It makes for a good story :)

I collect Bowies and I have a lot of other versions that aesthetically appeal to me more but I do believe that the Lurquin Version is the finest Musso rendition that I have seen

I do know one thing for sure...... old Jim wasn't carrying a Buck :)

I was thinking more of Pabst Blue Ribbon and Ted Nugent but that works😅🇺🇸

PBR maybe, but nugents not IMO an American that should be held up as an example, like a buck or bowie knife.

YMMV.
