The Most Expensive Knife You Carry

photo 1.jpg

W.T. Strider been carried used and abused. Just picked up a Sniper, as it has the same ergos.

I really want a Grayman folder, as of right now the most expensive knife I own and ever have owned is my WC Startac. Which I carry with me every day.

I just ordered a Microtech Marfione Custom Socom Delta for $1,200 yesterday. You're darn right I'm carrying that Carbon Fiber awesomeness!

To me it's just like wearing a nice watch. Wear it and be proud. Yes it is going to get scratched, but it's all going to be okay.. I'm not buying it to keep in a display case, I want to enjoy it. Plus it's only going to be used for opening boxes, letters and stuff like that.. Pretty light duty...

What's the priciest knife you carry (or have carried) on a regular basis ?

Are some knives so expensive (and unique) that even though you own them you wouldn't dare carry them ?

What about a custom folder , a BM Gold Class , a rare Spydie Sprint ? Would you carry and use them ?

I actually carry all of those that you mentioned...that's what knives are for. If they were made for sitting and looking at, the edges wouldn't be sharp :D I'm carrying a BM 7505-132 today. Yesterday I carried a custom Eric Ochs Oni Tanto flipper (first one ever made) and tommorow I'm likely to be out and about with my PM2 in forest green. If you have them...use them.

That would be one end of the spectrum, there are some folks that collect others that just use their knives. Nt all are the same.

This from a guy who has single-handedly squirrrelled every sprint PM2 knife made, away in a private collection for his own selfish fondling

Brian Tighe Mini Tighe Rod. Used to carry a Strider SnG but sold it.

Nothing too crazy, but I have no problems carrying and using pricier toys. Gun or blade. If it was a $1000+ custom I'd be more reluctant, maybe, but $250ish and under is "user" territory for sure.

Pretty typical for $200+ to be hanging out in my pocket. Carried a Mini-Infidel for a while before I got bored with it.

When I go into the woods, I've always got my Busse on me. That, or I'm hammering it into inappropriate things. Like a lot of you, I don't own knives that I don't use, save for the traditional that has my grandpa's fingerprint oxidized into the blade.

My Native 5 is my go to user. Has a lot of scratches from cutting sandpaper.
I paid $125 for it.
I was chopping with my ZT 0200 the other day.
Paid $180 for it.
I carried and used my Adamas for a long time.
Was stupid and paid full retail. $210

If I want to spend hundreds on something that's just going to sit, I'll start buying paintings.
(Which isn't going to happen) :)
