I'm the exception/contrast...I rarely break $100 on any individual knife but routinely carry firearms that are $7-900 based on how I have them configured (G33 w/Trijicons, HK P2000SK 357SIG, holsters etc).

I have had 3 P2 sprints (at cheap pre-release prices) and didn't want to carry any of them, but have no problem carrying and hard using a $475 SnG. The P2s are so coveted for collecting that I used them as trade bait.

Admittedly I haven't carried it yet, but the most expensive knife I've bought specifically to carry and use is probably a Dozier Bare Bones Utility. Sure, you don't need to spend $450 for a 3.5" fixed blade in D2, but there is just something nice about having a classic utilitarian design, hand-made by a classic maker as a user.

WHEN (!!) I´m in the mood to carry a modern knife - I like to carry the Lionsteel SR-1A - which is the most expensive knife I own so far. And propably will ever own...

No customs here, but I´m an old fashioned guy and like to carry slippies or nice old style fixed blade

I EDC in either a Lone Wolf D/A Lobo, ZT301. I always have a Case Hawkbill attached to my keys and my truck is littered with various slip joints and a fixed blade or three. I guess if you add it all up it's a little pricey. Oh yea ever since my hip blew out I've had a United sword cane close by. I live in a right to stand your ground state so I have to be prepared. I'm going to have to clean my truck out. LOL
