The Most General Purpose (fixed blade) Knife

IMG_0799.jpeg

This one seems to excel at any cutting tasks I’ve had. Meat, veggies, cardboard, tape, paracord, blister packs, shoe laces, dog treats, wood and whatever else I’ve put its edge against..

That handle gives some serious control when using that little slicer. Tactical kitchen / camp / defensive / edc.

Crag the Brewer Crag the Brewer makes a mean general purpose knife.

I only got around to purchasing a Carothers knife just recently. I noticed that the sales weren't selling out in under a minute these days, so I jumped on the train.

Some knives are just too nice to use. Nathan's are too nice not to use. They're not just some mass produced knife, there's attention to detail in design and craftsmanship. It's not 'pretty' craftsmanship, it's 'this feels great in my hand' craftsmanship. You're going to want to use it, not hide it.

They're not cheap, but they're not ridiculous either. Comes with a darn nice sheath too. Instead of buying three other knives, buy one Carothers. You won't be sorry.
Any horse too nice to ride is too nice to own. Use it.

any one of these

Either of these three would be my bug out edc as all have been tested in jungle environment and general purpose use since I worked in the Pacific islands in law enforcement before I retired

I think I owe you a brass bead, some day.......
The only reason I put in a flared tube is I know you like adding rope
I also make them Plain for those of us who don't like holes...haha

Ooh, yeah, that one takes the cake. Perhaps a bit thicker stock would be good for a "one knife to rule them all," but otherwise it's great.
I think some makers have their own renditions these days. I think the junkyard fox on youtube has a design called the snake eater and i know SET has made his version. There are probably others out there.

My internal monologue read that in a very sultry tone

Mmmmmmm.....
think of IT as ASMR for knife geeks.

You should hear me talk for hours about how a good, Warm vintage linen micarta, with a oiled and hand rubbed finish plays into your grasp.....how it buries itself into your Soul....
how it can Own you.....it you let it. If you want That? And, you do....

At least, that's how I see it. :D
