The most hated knife you own.

Man I have to tell you I love my 0350. Yeah the handle could be a little longer but it works great for what I need it for. Makes a feather stick well for a blade like that and I like S30v quite a bit. Not as much as CPM-M4 but it's close. I really don't mind the wieght. I bought myself a Benchmade 275 Adamas for my birthday and even that doesn't weigh my pockets down that much. have any of you tried the 0300? It is essentially a beefed up 0350

I don't hate any of my knives, but like my old voyager (vg1 version) the least
Nothing wrong with it imo, just like the new one more

I don't own it anymore, I hated it so much that I sold it this past summer on Ebay to a guy in Poland.
The handle was so short, that my hand was hanging off the back when using the thumb jimping... and I have a "small" hand!

I have a set of cheap knives I bought from a friend when he was down and out. They sit in a box in my closet, pick one.

Either the Gerber Profile or Walmart special chinese Winchester branded fixed blade. Only reason I still have 'em is for stuff I won't use my nicer knives for. They haven't broken yet, unfortunately.

Camillus Cuda. It came very dull, The "new" opening mechanism slider button takes a long time to manipulate and hurts my thumb. The handle is very uncomfortable in my hand.

However; I didn't throw it away, I made lemonade. I have an old Chinese Gas Station knife in my toolbox that I use to hammer through bolts. The locking mechanism is completely shot. I now have a $69 replacement for it. :grumpy:

I do not think I hate any of the knives I have ever owned. There are still a few knives that I do not care about though and just put them on a shelf in the garage where they collect dust.
I remember I have got Spyderco Police SS in a trade and could not stand it: traded it off as fast as I could. That was a bit strange: I love Enduras and have got 4 or 5 even now - and that seems to be the closest thing. But obviously it is not!
And the crappiest knife that I have got now (not on the garage shelf) is Buck Vantage. But I have got in cheap and do not have any bad feelings about it.

My most hated knife is my Spyderco Terzuola Slipit. I hate it because it hated me first. Seems like I can't pick the thing up without it biting me. It sits untouched in a Spyderpac now. When it comes up in normal rotation I just think 'Move along... Nothing to see here...'

Perfect summary of my thoughts when the "ginger stepchild" (another great phrase I picked up here) comes up to bat.

A Buck Vantage Select and a Vantage Pro. Here is your choice: 1) If you center the blades, they are impossible to open, or 2) If you loosen the blades so they will flip open as designed, they rub the liner. I really like Buck knives, but I haven't bought one since.

This happened to me... It drove me nuts. I returned it (Avid). I want to give it another shot because it is such a great knife though. I'm looking to get either an Avid or a Pro but this time, I'm going to make sure I get a good QC one.

The 350 worked excellent on the job for me, don't understand the complaints. I use a knife more than most people, even knife nuts, and it worked great. I cut wood, paper, fiberglass, misc. cording, misc. upholstery, misc. plastics... just a wide variety of things, and the 350 performed better than any 'tactical' blade I've owned.
Dislikes?
My Benchmade Gold Class Griptillian was a piece of crap. The blade wasn't centered, the axis lock unlocked with great difficulty, it never felt right in my hand and it was flimsy feeling. Too much flex in the handle, and yes, it was a true BM, not a copy. BM customer service was useless. I do like some BM's, but I'd rather fix any issues myself than waste my time dealing with the maker.
Didn't care for my ZT Hinderer collaboration, either. There is probably a good knife in there somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
There is also a Wenger in my collection that made the turd list.
My iddy biddy Gerber is pretty sucko, too, but it's a great one to have in the pocket (so small it would be hard to notice through leotards) for people that want to borrow your knife. I get looks of disdain when people see me use my Spyderco Gayle Bradley, ask me to borrow my knife and then I hand them a crappo Gerber.:)

My most hated knives were mostly customs. You name it and I've seen it - out-of-the-box rust, chipping, rolling, crap ergonomics, edge grinds that didn't form an edge, sheaths that looked like they were made from beef jerky, etc etc. It's almost impossible to resell stuff like that so I have gifted or "tested" more stuff than I care to remember. With new makers it's a crapshoot - sometimes I come out ahead and other times I just write it off as a loss and move to another maker.

oh i fully intend to get rid of the 0350 just to make it clear, but i have it with me in afghanistan right now, and mailing it home would be too much of a pain.

When the time comes, name your price, I would be honored to carry your 0350...let me know. Thanks for being there, godspeed.

have acouple of really thin pos kitchen knives. the blade material is so thin they are tough to get sharp. i probably could get them sharp but they are soo "chincy" that i have never given 2 sh^ts to waste my time sharpening them. they really really suck.

also i have a chineese made gerber that one of my buddies that i have have known for 25 odd years gave to me for being in his wedding.
whats worse than it being from china is that it has my name incorrectly spelled etched into the blade. it is probably tied with the beater kitchen knives for knife that i hate the most.

Any knife with a serrated blade. To me they look "dirty".

Nevertheless the serrations are so valuable that you gotta keep em.
