The most underrated EDC knife ever...The Cold Steel Code 4

A couple of corrections:
1. The Code 4 is not the best EDC knife. It’s a little thick behind the edge, a little heavy and clunky and slippery as snot. It’s an OK EDC choice.
2. I have all the knives. All your knife are belong to us!

Nothing’s better than tanto. Nothing. 😂
Tanto will be overwhelmed by bananas (especially ripe ones...). Better wield a banana than a Cold Steel (GSMO) tanto. This said, I'm really on the fence with the Cold Steel Heavy Duty Sword Cane. It's 3Cr13Mov now, so there's that. I shoulda bought one when they made it in 1055.

First Code 4 I got (brand new) was a bit rough and hard to disengage, so I was kind of disappointed. But then I got a gently used one for a great deal and it was smooth as glass and easy to unlock. Totally changed my opinion of it. I do wish they had put some kind of texture on the scales for better grip, but for my uses it's been fine.

CS offers 3 good blades in the 3.5" blade category that I have owned.

1. Ultimate Hunter. My favorite CS knife. Great size for me. I like a beefier handle. My 2nd most carried knife of the last few years behind the Endura.
2. American Lawman. G10 handles are a little thin for me. I traded mine. I think of it as a Code 4 + G10 scales.
3. Code 4. Handles are a little thin and I've learned to dislike metal handles, they are too slick. Still got it, will unload this spring.

CS Ultimate Hunter is my choice for *one of the most* underrated knives. Great value for $110ish.

Tick...tick...tick...tick...

Just put him on ignore...then you don't have to wait for him to step on, or in it...

You just can't do it, can you? 🤣
No opinion on who’s a troll/shill or not, but Lasador does post some funny troll-style content. Put him on ignore?? Perish the thought!! :D

…I was even sad when the AD-10 thread got locked… :(

SOOOOO tempting - but then I would miss the joyful "banter" his threads provide.

I really like my Code 4 tanto. The only thing I'd change to make it perfect is a rougher blast on the handle finish and the introduction of a smaller 3" blade/4" closed version.

I got a drop point XHP Code 4 for my father and he uses it around his small property and likes it. I imagined it more as an EDC he could bring to work that would be a little more sheeple friendly, but he still prefers to EDC the MOD Point Man I got him many years ago. (which is still going strong with perfect lockup btw…)
