The most underrated EDC knife ever...The Cold Steel Code 4

You know, it's interesting that people say try this or try that, and I have more knives than probably anyone in the world. But, I still keep coming back to my Cold Steels every single time. I have knives that sell for over a thousand dollars, and it just doesn't matter. This week I've been carrying my Cold Steel Code 4, and I don't even know it's in my pocket it's so light. When I'm cutting with it, I don't even have to worry about the lock because everyone knows Cold Steel has the best locks in the business. The Code 4 is razor sharp upon arrival, perfectly capable of not only the small EDC tasks that people do every day, but it is also quite capable of heavy duty tasks. I've put this thing through hell and back, and it just doesn't give a damn. Versatility, durability, tough as nails and sharp as a razor...

Now that's what I want out of an every day carry knife.
Stickman? Is that you?

If I spent a million, I’d have so many $1000+ knives it would be nearly impossible to get them all together for a pic to post on here…but after mentioning my high roller status, I’d definitely try.
😁 I want to be here when you bust out those pictures!
(You WILL have Supermodels holding up the knives: right?)

Actually, perhaps CS should relegate SM to security detail or something and hire L Lasador ! I bet he's sold more AD 10s!
This is ridiculous. When I was telling everyone the Cold Steel AD 10 is the best knife money could buy, that's just the way it is. I don't care if anyone likes Cold Steel on here or not. I don't know jack squat about the company that owns Cold Steel right now. Maybe you're right...maybe Cold Steel has changed hands and their quality goes down. I DON'T KNOW. BUT, what I do KNOW is that the Cold Steel knives that I have in my possession right now are nothing short of ELITE quality in every single way.

My two favorite knife companies for folding knives are Cold Steel and Spyderco.

As far as fixed blades go, that is a different story. I like ESEE, Fallkniven, Buck and Kabar Becker the best. Take your pick, they are all great.

I'm outta here.

If Cold Steel is the zenith of your collection, you need to branch out more.

Cold Steel is/was a really solid knife company having a lot of really cool/innovative/tough designs made for them from a lot of solid manufacturing facilities.

I like CS, but there is so much out there that beats them in fit, finish, and pride of ownership. Maybe nothing beats them at hanging 225lb men off their locks, stabbing through 6 ply leather, or slicing up paper terrorists, but even the best CS I find a bit clumsy and/or overbuilt compared to the competition. I have owned at least 30 of their products over the last 20+ years, and they fill a niche. I just would put them as a brand at about a 5th place in terms of production knives if I did some mental gymnastics where I factored in toughness over finish etc. Just in my own meager collection of 400-ish knives/cutting implements, I dunno if any of them would crack my Top 10 of my collection.

That said, you can do way worse. If you want a sharp knife with a strong lock, they offer that in spades. My needs just include more than that.

OP turds in GD then leaves. He’s like the Skeletor meme. Dude just comes in, says some crazy crap, then bolts until next week, when he will claim the American Lawman is the greatest police-related knife you can get “for the money”.

I think it's a matter of an individual who can't differentiate between making unsubstantiated claims as facts, and actual facts.

There is nothing inherently wrong with claiming your personal preferences. But to say that your opinion circumvents all others is pretty silly.

At any rate, I am a fan of the products. Not sure if I am a fan of the new owners and business direction.
