There has been lots of speculation and hopefulness on the existing Forum knife thread. In the meantime, I have been poking around in the background, trying to see what could be done about the disaffection that has emerged from the last BF knife project.
First, I have had discussions with Spark over the past weeks, and he has decided to hand the project over to me, and whoever I ask to help!! He knows my track record, and has opted out of any profit that could accrue from such a project, so we are back to NON-PROFIT status!!
I repeat, there will be no profit for anyone.
John LLoyd has offered free stag for us. Did I mention free??
An incredibly kind gesture - thanks John! We don't have to have a stag knife, but . . . . . .why not, ehh??
I appreciate the offers of assistance that have popped up, and have duly recorded them - thanks to all of you.
We are not home yet, because I need some feedback and approval from you folks.
The past projects have been a lot of work, time-consuming and tedious, so I am going to propose a streamlined method.
I am going to ask you all to consider that, with a few advisors here, and after duly reading the proposals so far in the other thread that has been flowing along for some weeks now, we propose 4 to 6 choices in a poll, and you tell us which you want.
We will verify that the knives can be made easily (existing or new tooling), and will get to you for UNDER $100!! Or well less than $100!! We will make sure there is a variety.
Knowtracks (Dave) will be our official pollster, and I may ask one or two of you who have offered assistance to help, but for now, let's talk about this, the method and not the knives yet please, to see if you approve.
Thanks for your patience, and feedback, in advance!
