The NEW Burger Exkelibur model!!!

Nice pictures MCHAVEN

Here is what I have been doing with the EXK. HAs held up to everything. The Pivot pin only loosened up when I batoned with it in the video. Lockup is still solid and no blade play.

The carbon fiber looks good:thumbup:.
Makes it a more classy gentleman knife.

Are all the "new" exk1 made with cf or is it still an extra option.

I am also curious what the exact difference between the old and new with dissambling the exk.

I have not tried it with my old exk but think its possible to dissamble it if i had the pivot tool.

dissambling is pretty much the same, the new one has the stop pin press fitted into the liner so it will not fall out and no need for locktite. The old one has locktite in the pivot.

You can chose what handle material you want.

Ok thanks:thumbup:.
The lock tide is the real difference.
So mine would not be made to adjust the pivot a little bit because i would loosen the lock tide.

My exk1 has very little torx screws so you have to be careful.

Pleasure man! The EXK is not as simple as a Sebenza, but it really is not difficult and I like the fact that one can get a full kit with all the tools one need. I think you would like the new exk if you liked the old one and would appreciate to take it apart without any problems.

I know Trevor did not put locktite on the old EXK if people asked not to, but most of them do have.

Trevor will be at Blade table 2A in the handmade section as far as I can tell according to the Blade website. Enjoy it everyone that can go!

I tried one out after your reviews I must admit I was dissapointed. Plus Trevor's refusal to respond to emails or help me out once I had paid was even more disconcerting.

Sorry to hear that. My dealings with him has been top notch.

Whoops. Double post. BTW it's not your fault. I know you're just trying to share with us.

yip. I would like to post more on our local makers but cash is low and there are still to many USA knives I want on my shortlist at the moment but will post in September after our guild show is over with a bunch of photos of the show.

On another note I must confess. This is Africa and even some of the most renowned knife makers in SA still use 56k modems because some areas are so far from major cities, heck even in major cities we do not have wireless or decent reception everywhere. We are so far behind technology wise :grumpy:

Even my damn wireless is on the fits most of the months. Heck I have been reconnecting the past 10 minutes just to type this!

pretty nice video and pictures! do you talk in your videos? :)

No the sound quality of the camera is crap! I have to be really close or else it wont work and even then when converting there is a terrible constant sound I cant get rid off. If I get a better camera and sort out the sound I will talk more, other then that I do not have much to say at the moment in them and hope the demonstration is at least a bit entertaining.

Very nice -- I love the look of the CF scales. I enjoy my EX1 and an heavily considering one of the EX2's in ironwood.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Trevor. Both knives I ordered from him came within the estimated delivery times and communication was very quick.
