The new Chris Reeve INYONI

:D hey! I just kinda imaged it with raindrop damascus and ivory in lieu of wood!

I wonder...

Might be good for birds but as an ardent fisherman, doesn't look to me as being great for trout (not the right grip for that). But I could see myself using a plain-edge version as an EDC (nice letter opener, for instance). While pretty cool design (and very neat sheath) for everyday carry and cutting, it isn't generating the critical acclaim that greeted the micarta Sebenza. The price seems quite reasonable.

It isn't my cup of tea. I will be passing on this one. I thought it might grow on me, but it hasn't.

Like it. Would love to have one with kydex neck carry sheath though. Kinda thin and light for the heavy sheath.

plain edge would be cool... kind of "ultralight fixed blade" :D

(green micarta & OD-Green kydex... hmmmm  )

Well since I don't hunt or fish and I'm like Dave not really a fixed blade kind of guy, I'll probably wait on this one. I don't see it doing anything that I can't do with my large Micarta inlay. It might however make a good lunchbox knife. But I do have my heart set on a Shadow IV.

I'm more of a folder guy but for a fixed blade I like it. I bird hunt a fair amount and I could see myself cleaning birds with it. I expect it will be on my Christmas list in the near future.

Neil -- thanks for posting this!

Love the new Inyoni. As with the sebbie, nice high hollow grind line. Glad it's S30V for the moisture resistance. Currently, I clean all my fish with my EDC sebenza. The sebbie is easy enough to swish it in the stream afterwards, but at the end of the trip, a good disassembly/cleaning is required. An Inyoni will be simple to fully clean, and stay resident in the tackle box for the next time.

I would think that CRK could do a little better than that :grumpy: . I will await their next folder :D

I like it. I would like to see one in person to see how the grip is. I think it would make a sweet letter opener. A plan edge would be nice since I think the serrations disrupt the lines of the knife a little bit.

I thought about the letter opener idea also it would be perfect for that :) , and like someone said earlier it would make a mean butter knife........ look out toast :D

Nice lines, I would like to see it in hand, it seems very slim. A non-serrated version would get my vote as well, with a dangler sheath it would make a nice bit of kit.
