The new Chris Reeve INYONI

I have been holding back for a few days hoping I would change my mind but I have to say that this design is just not my cup of tea.

To each their own.

I own one and like it. At first glance it reminds me of a steak knife that would be in a place setting onboard the Starship Enterprise. To me, its futuristic, with an "out of the box" design that actually serves a purpose and looks good.

Its definitely growing on me....wish it had micarta onlays(are they onlays or inlays?) I may have to get myself one:) No one probably has any left in stock now that I've waited around:rolleyes:

I picked one up on ebay a couple weeks ago and I love it. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but I know the quality of Chris Reeve knives, and I wasn't disappointed in this one. It is light, and a little hard to get out of the sheath while it is new, but loosens up a bit after a while. The surface of the knife is nice, seems like it would be easy to keep clean in the woods or at home. Of course it can also be used to shave with, lol. The handle takes a bit to get used to, but then it feels right at home in my hands. Cuts a new york steak like butter(had to try it out). I used it when I was working on a raccoon skin and had to be extra careful not to cut too much too fast. It is great for detail work. I am glad I bought it like all of my CR knives. This makes my 7th CR knife, and I love them all!

I forgot to mention, all my CR knives are 1 piece blades, I really want a sebby but I have a tendency to lose my "pocket" knives, so most of them I have are Columbia River Knives, which are good inexpensive knives, the M-16 being my favorite.

I would like to handle one at a shop before acquiring one. Looks like a fish and bird knife.
