The new Chris Reeve INYONI

I still hope we will see a new folder.

Otherwise it's not very innovative :(

I think the INYONI knife is very good to use,

the thumb rest is a new try on the knife design(sword top spine),

it gives a very good contorl of the knife, got to handle for yourself

the Sheath is a plus on this knife , it is a $50 worth piece of art

the angled serration gives the blade maximum pipping power

this little knife might have some place to improve on

I think CRK will give us the best they can come up with in the future

The 'crocodile' will have my attention. This ones just not for me.

Was at the Shot Show this past weekend and had a chance to handle the new Inyoni.

As the handle has only one screw, I asked how the handle was attached. It has the screw for the back end of the knife of course, as you can see that. As for the forward part of the wood, it has a pin which is seated in the handle as its put together and to top it off the entire slab is also held on with the use of 3M tape.

I did hear of talk of a folder coming out hopefully for later this year, and it wasnt the "crocodile" I was asking about at the time :D

They were kind enough to give me a copy of their DVD "The Exquisite Blade", I just finished watching both discs...very interesting and informative, a must see for everyone.

Well for all the relatively negative feedback in theis thread, looks like the knife is selling well. Plaza Cutlery and True North Knives are both sold out in less than a week. This knife may be a lot more popular and a lot more functional than we give it credit for.

I am sure that it is going to be a VERY popular knife, especially at that price!! People are jumping for joy to get a CRK for UNDER $200!!
It just isn't my cup of tea!

My personal opinion is, I would of like to have seen something a little closer to the original Bird & Trout Design, shown below.
The INYONI, is similar to the style or the intended purpose. But, I would like to handle it in person before making a purchase for one or two! .........my .02

I like it. Lose the serrations, add micarta inlays, and I'll buy one today. A smaller version would make a cool necker.

Thanks Jonny. Inyoni seems to be a practical tool for its intended purpose. Nice blade!

I took to it right away and pre-ordered one. While I would prefer plain edge and a micarta inlay, I can see it as an EDC that will fulfill my everyday needs and look stylish. ;)
