The new Mora 2010 model, pictures.

The plastic sheath has a swivel type belt clip that is kinda cool, so you could carry it in the horizontal position.....but it still had to go......anyone want it, it's yours.
I can't say I like this 2010 any more or less than the 2K...I'm happy to have boffff!!

Hey, my vinagaroo makes the leather a bluish tint looking...sup with that???

Yay, since this thread started I have ordered a 2K from Ragweed Forge (Ragnar, he called it "goose turd green", shipped it out the same day, what a guy!) Should be here tomorrow or Tuesday :D

Yup, the 2000 came today, I like it a lot. Great blade design and finish, substantial and grippy handle. I kind of liken it to a light weight Kabar.

What's it mean when I start quoting myself? :D

the 2000 is probably my best slicer. that thing is sharp. I have really grown to like the handle design as well. you will be happy. now to get a 2010 to compare it too. no more knives for me for a while. i have to save money. hehe

I got my 2010 from Charlotte today. I ordered Saturday after seeing this thread and it was in my mailbox when I got home from work!

I like it so far. I like the handle feel and the aesthetics of the blade/handle. Sheath is decent for a Mora. I may not even replace this one.

I need to try it out still, but my initial impressions are very favorable.

I've been looking for a knife to use in a saltwater "island and seacoast" role and the 2010 has moved up as a prime contender. I really like the looks of the stainless 946 as well. The 2000 does a great job opening up coconuts.

From the information I've been able to glean about this knife the blade is exactly the same as the 2000 just set farther down into the handle. This knife started out as a prototype but is now going into full production. Rumor has it they will also be making a version in olive green. I think I'll wait for that one or just pick up a 946. Mac

Olive green huh? Well, I was already thinking of getting a second one, it may as well be a green one!

That's a Miki Mora. They were only sold in Sweden as far as I know. I managed to get a couple from a forumite on a Scandinavian knives forum when we had a giveaway contest. Neat knives. Basically a #2 blade on a comfortable handle with a half decent sheath to it.

Whoops, missed the first part of the question. The top on is a Swedish Hultafors GK. Basically a heavy duty Mora. Thicker blade, stout tip and big solid handle. Also not imported to the US :grumpy:

You can get those from The Good Stuff Shop in Denmark though. They're pretty good to deal with.

Alright well I don't own any Moras yet but looks like I need to get one! I'm planning on getting back into fishing and could use this as an excuse to get a mora. Which one should I get? 2000 or 2010 or something else? It'd be used for fishing as well as camping and any other general chores.

that's great news, I need one!

Well you guys did it once again, convinced me that I need this Mora 2010 so I just bought one on the bay. I think my wallet is bulimic, as soon as I get cash in, it just gets taken right back out!

I don't know if I should wait for ragweedforge to stock it first or just grab it off ebay...
