Why oh why is the olde thread dead?

We used to do it at 1,000 posts, but these days it takes a lot longer to hit that mark. Shortened it to 500, but the last one went over a bit.

So the plan today was build a fire in the smoker around 8:30 and have smoked pork loin for lunch around 1.
The "intermittent showers" started around 0740 and picked up speed around 0845.
Maybe I'll cut off a steak and grill it for lunch under cover, then move the coals to the smoker after that.

hello I'm new around these parts. Ordered my first Becker, the Kephart not long ago and just ordered a BK9 to be delivered Monday. I'll try to post some pics after use next week.
